I have been in this place quite a few times over the years and I think it's safe to say that the service isn't great at all. I've noticed this several times.
In this istance, we ordered 2 pizzas and potatoes as a side, the problem is that one of the pizzas wasn't the one we ordered and they made it with potatoes on top. They corrected the mistake and my partner had to wait for her pizza for quite some time. Then the potatoes came only after we already finished the pizzas, even if we said clearly that we would have liked them with the pizzas as a side.
We had to wait quite a lot for the waiter and we had to wait even to get some olive oil, which we had to ask for.
The place is nice, some waiters are nice and friendly, while others just seem disinterested. I noticed that during busy nights they don't have more personnel so the service is just worse.
Side note: they charge 4/5 euros for a glass of wine. The problem is that they pour you a ridicolous amount of wine that you can drink in just one sip.
The food is nice, but it can be expensive depending on what you order. I believe that there are better places for both food...
Read moreWarm welcome. Log fire and beautiful Christmas decorations. Service was reasonably quick. We shared a pizza which was well presented and expertly cooked. My husband had the Rossa Peroni and enjoyed it very much. We shared a dessert of Zuppa Inglesse very rich and quite boozy Perfecto. We had visited San Lucca and at first could find this restaurant because there was confusion as to where it was on Google maps. For anyone else as confused as us it is on the opposite side of the road to the mini train stop. We waisted a good 20 minutes thinking there was a cafe on site at the Church. This however was a small porch with 3 vending machines. Quite a surprise as it said cafe on the sign posts. Anyway back to the review. I would definitely recommend . The staff a re friendly, patient and informative and were lovely with some children , giving them small gifts...
Read moreAfter our tour in the church, we stopped here for a quick coffee. At first glance, everything seemed fine the first impression was good. Unfortunately, the second impression was quite the opposite. We enjoyed our coffee and decided to buy some cookies: three packaged ones to take home and two from the counter to eat right away. When we went to pay, the man at the counter reacted very rudely. He loudly questioned how we had taken the two cookies and told us our hands were dirty. His tone was aggressive and unfriendly, which left us feeling more like children being scolded than adult guests. Such behavior is unacceptable in hospitality. If someone cannot work politely with people, dislikes tourists, or is unhappy in their job, perhaps it would be better to choose a...
