La Locanda del Mostro — Restaurant in Bomarzo

Very disappointing experience when asked to let us have not a full lunch. It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon, several people sitting outside and yet there was no way to get even a glass of wine. The only option was to sit indoors, which is simply silly in a restaurant in the middle of a forest. If I want to sit indoors, I will stay in a city or town.

There was an attitude problem that clearly continues. The ratings are what they are because those were the options. I would have loved to taste your food, you did not allow it.

Your reaction was IMMEDIATELY negative, although I tried to approach you twice, specifying that we would have been fine eating some antipasti or just one dish. I guess you consider yourself too high-maintenance for a "cheap" lunch.

Good restaurants try to accommodate customers, not send them away saying "this is not a bar, the bar is upstairs". Frankly, I hope you go out of business soon and leave room for capable enterpreneurs, which you are...

Ambiente indubbiamente bello, ma servizio e ciò che abbiamo mangiato collegato a quest'ultimo, da rivedere. Ci siamo presentati alle 12.50, in tre ci hanno detto che sarebbe venuto qualcuno per il posto, e già l'inizio.... ci sediamo al tavolo, e mentre aspettiamo, possiamo vedere il tavolo accanto a noi, che avvisa per tre volte che sono pronti a ordinare, e ogni volta la risposta è: le mando un ragazza, che arriva appunto dopo la terza richiesta. Quindi la stessa ragazza, subito dopo, prende il nostro ordine (13.10) ovvero un primo per me e poi 2 porzioni di arrosticini e patate al forno. Il primo arriva dopo 10 minuti, e nulla da ridire, molto buono (calamarata con polpo alla luciana) ma da quì, inizia il calvario. Alle 13.35 (25 minuti dopo l'ordine), chiedo aggiornamenti in merito al secondo, visto che mia moglie, non potendo mangiare pasta, era ancora a digiuno. La cameriera ci risponde con "eh si, ci voglio 25 muinuti per fare gli arrosticini, comunque ho visto che erano in cottura", ok, ringraziamo e attendiamo... altri 20 minuti (e siamo a 45) degli spiedini escono ma non erano i nostri, quindi chiedo ad un camerie se ci sono problemi in cucina. Ci chiedono scusa e dicono che li hanno sollecitati. Dopo 7 minuti circa, arrivano gli arrosticini, ma come potete vedere dalla foto, erano "molto al sangue"... li abbiamo mangiati per fame e ce ne siamo andati. Lascio due stelle solo perché fatto presente il problema alla cassa, hanno chiesto scusa e ci avrebbero offerto caffè e ammazzacaffè, ma eravano in ritardissimo e...

Disappointing. Totally not what the pictures look like. The portions are little, not enough at all, and the prices are high. The people at this restaurant were also not friendly nor helpfull.

We recommend to eat at the trattoria Tutto n’artro Magna which is only 3 minutes from the park. They service delicious food and cappuccinos and the precies are fair.
