Pizzeria Ristorante Marianna — Restaurant in Brenzone sul Garda

I'll try to stay as factual and impartial as possible but I believe this place would be better classified as in the tourism industry than the food industry.

That is to say that we got pizzas that were premade bases which didn't rise, tomato sauce from a jar and cheese sprinkled on top with tinned/frozen mushrooms.

We went on the recommendation of our Airbnb host, in spite of the recent 1 star reviews, and thought we would give this place a chance. Unfortunately the poor reviews are very well deserved.

On top of this they tried to add a 'coperto' cover charge to our bill for 4 euros. Then they further insisted that it was in the small print of the menu. Luckily the owner was there and took this off our bill.

I have nothing against the people and know they are just trying to make a living. But it's a shame that a restaurant can serve food as poor as this in such a beautiful setting. I'm sure if there weren't tourists coming for the convenience that it wouldn't be in...

We visited Marianna a few times with two families (8 persons total) during our vacation at Garda. We loved their food, drinks and hospitality. It can get very busy so we recommend making a reservation especially during the weekends. The only things that were disappointing, is when you share a table with other families, Marianna is against separate payments. Additionally, the place is outdated, right at the road, with some of the tables at the parking place. It is also very humid on their covered terras. No cooling whatsoever. All in all a good place to try out for dinner, as long as you take separate...

Underwhelming pizza for an overwhelming price. Toppings of vegetariana were champignon mushrooms, 3 slices of fresh tomato and zucchini sliced so thinly it only served an aesthetic purpose. The tomato sauce was ok, and the mozzarella became stiff in the end. The other one we ordered was alright — with onion and tuna — and not much can be said about it.
