Trattoria Conti — Restaurant in Bronte

I and my girlfriend were just happy with antipasti (cheese plate with pistachio bruschetta) but the taste of penne with mushroom (for me) and the taste of penne with pistachio (for her) were disappointing. Not special just regular! And the price for them plus 1 lt mineral water was 31 euro!! The city was itself really fake and just tourist hunter!!! Be careful!!! Looking for lunch in Bronte, we stumbled across this gem of a trattoria. A complete antidote to the more tourist-oriented establishments around the coast. Simple menu, delicious food, and reasonably priced. The proprietors, a delightful couple, were very welcoming and best of all spoke to us purely in Italian - which is increasingly a novel experience, but a very welcome one! A small, family run restaurant, in a nice little Italian village. This place was quite chaotic, with the children fetching groceries and constantly running into the kitchen.

We had some special selections, available only during the Bronte Pistachio festival and we were quite pleased. Just be ready for very slow and chaotic service (they came back after 20 minutes to inform us they had no potatoes). Some portions (like the mixed meat, which only had 2 types) were too small for the price.
