La Tavernetta — Restaurant in Budune/Budoni

Lovely location and great looking menu. We were looking forward to eating here after spending some time in the area. However did not live up to what we expected. Our Aperol Spritz tasted flat/off. Our scallop starter had to be sent back because it wasn't hot - but was replaced quickly and was great when it came back the second time. The main disappointment was the poor translation of the menu. There is a dish which states it has "lobster" which we thought sounded great. The fact it cost a fair bit more than most other dishes wasn't a problem and led us to believe that's what we were getting. However what came out was far from lobster...more like giant prawns. The waiter even said it's a poor translation after we complained - perhaps not the first complaint. Our suggestion would be to change the translation and to also be aware when ordering to avoid an awkward dinner in what is otherwise a...

I had an absolutely terrible experience at this restaurant. We were not greeted or acknowledged when we arrived, which already set a bad tone. We simply wanted to get some ice cream, and even that was a hassle. To make matters worse, as we were leaving, we were insulted by the staff without any apparent reason. We have no idea what we did wrong, but it was completely unacceptable. We were there with two young children, and it seemed like we were not welcome at all.

So to conclude, the service was rude and unprofessional, and the whole situation was a huge disappointment. Definitely a big no-go for us. We will not be returning, and we certainly do not recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience.

So, thank you, but no thanks. This is not how you treat customers, especially families...

Worst restaurant experience I've ever had. Made a reservation for a table outside. As we arrived, we had to wait 10 minutes at the restaurant, even tho it was empty. They didn't wanted to speak to us. After that time, we walked up to one of the 5 waiters, who told us, that we couldn't sit outside because we are not Italian. They were 7 free tables outside. We told them, that we would go away if they wouldn't give us the table, we had the reservation for. They just laughed at us and let us go away. Worst costumer...
