Miil — Restaurant in Burggrafenamt - Burgraviato

Graf Pfeil ist es auf Basis seiner hervorragenden Arbeit im Weinberg gelungen, rund um das Thema Wein und Gartenbau seinen Ansitz zu einem Gesamtkunstwerk zu machen - so die Ausdrucksweise wenn man Kunst sehr weit fasst. Das Weingut wurde bereits in der entsprechenden Rubrik für einen Besuch empfohlen ebenso wie der Kunstgarten dort eine sehr positive Erwähnung fand. Nach der Weinprobe, dem Einkauf und dem darauf folgenden Spaziergang durch den Kunstgarten, wäre richtig geplant der Besuch des Restaurants Miil fällig. Von außen betrachtet ein eher beschauliches Lokal, staunt man nach dem Betreten des Gebäudes. Der Altbau wurde durch einen modernen Anbau ergänzt und so kann man sich entscheiden, ob man eher im etwas rustikaleren Teil sitzen will oder die Moderne bevorzugt. An der Speisekarte ändert sich nichts. Hier versteht man es Südtiroler Küche mit einer Leichtigkeit zu servieren, ohne dass dabei die typischen, teilweise intensiven, Geschmacksaromen leiden müssen. Je nach Saison gibt es auch mal Lamm, Zicklein oder ansprechende Wildgerichte. Die Weinkarte mit sehr vielen regionalen Positionen, nicht nur vom Kränzelhof, ergänzen jede Speiseauswahl vortrefflich. Für das Abendessen raten wir über die meiste Zeit des Jahres zu einer Reservierung - die im übrigen auch mittags nicht schaden kann. Mehr auf: turtlesurf eu ...... Count Pfeil has succeeded, on the basis of his excellent work in the vineyard, in turning his estate into a total work of art around the theme of wine and horticulture - that's the expression if you take a very broad view of art. The winery has already been recommended for a visit in the corresponding section, just as the art garden received a very positive mention there. After the wine tasting, the shopping and the subsequent walk through the art garden, a visit to the Miil restaurant was due. Seen from the outside, a rather contemplative restaurant, one is amazed after entering the building. The old building has been complemented by a modern extension, so you can decide whether you want to sit in the more rustic part or prefer the modern. Nothing has changed on the menu. They know how to serve South Tyrolean cuisine with a lightness of touch without sacrificing the typical, sometimes intense, flavours. Depending on the season, there are also lamb, kid or appealing game dishes. The wine list with many regional wines, not only from the Kränzelhof, complements every choice of food excellently. Excellent wine choice and interesting food. Two stars for the service is due to the massive, annoying, and continuous push of wine on your glasses exercised by the personnel. Be this due to avoid letting you thirsty or to force you to purchase another bottle, the final effect is that if you are six or seven and order an important bottle the less polite guests who empty the glass in two seconds will have three rounds and who tries to make it last a little will end up with 5cl. Spent two weeks in Italy visiting Florence and the Merano area and Miil’s was without question the best meal I had. Their commitment and respect towards their ingredients shows. The shrimp pasta was velvety, perfectly al dente and shining with comforting flavor. The steak was perfectly cooked and buttery soft. The staff was friendly and professional and introduced us to great South Tyrolean wines and nut liquors for our digestif. Strongly recommended if you are in the area. Reservations...
