Paestum in Tavola — Restaurant in Capaccio Paestum

So much to say. I visited this restaurant with my wife while visiting Italy in 2022. It was one of our favorite, if not THE favorite meal of our entire trip. The pizza was fantastic. Fantastic might be an understatement, it was INCREDIBLE.

That wasn't even the best part. I was wearing a white shirt and I got some tomato sauce on it. The owner/operator (I forgot his name) came over snd offered me some type of Italian cleaning powder and a brush and showed me how to clean my shirt off. I was so baffled by this method he ended up just cleaning it for me. It worked.

I looked for this restaurant for years to give it a 5 star review and somehow could never find it. I looked back at the pictures from my trip recently and matched the blue chairs.

If I ever make it back to Italy I'll go out of my way to find this place again. Would give it ten...

La pizza e i fritti napoletani si possono definire patrimonio dell'umanità e Paestum in Tavola non smentisce questo status. Ho scelto di prendere una pizza diversa dal solito, con un certo scetticismo, ma l'esplosione dei sapori freschi e di qualità mi ha portato a considerarla da oggi la mia pizza preferita. E i fritti? Croccanti e non unti compreso il dolce che per i "pistacchio e nutella lovers" è la conclusione che ti concedi anche a stomaco già pieno e appagato. Ma da Paestum in Tavola non è solo il cibo ad accoglierti come se fossi a casa ma anche tutto il personale, motivato, gentilissimo e pulito.
