Zi Fiore Ristorante Pizzeria — Restaurant in Capaccio Paestum

We were looking for a restaurant/fastfood or anykind of food available in the city of paestum that wasn't a tourist trap or money draining restaurant, after a very very long walk in a sunny sunday, every thing we meet was closed or not available, or wrongly advertised most of stores are closing around 13.30, but in reality they are already closed at 13:00(1pm). So after 1.5h walking around this town, I entered the restaurant without much hope, as most restaurant closed around 15.00 and at that moment was 14.35, kitchen usually close earlier. The owner and the staff welcome us warmly and made you order and eat at our pace. Recommended to anybody, their pizza are good, with a lot of choice, food is fresh. Arancini are small but delicious. Give it a try, price are actually cheap if you don't look for fancy choice of pizza. I advice to take a plate of mix deep fried items, perfect for two person to taste their specialty's. The restaurant also offer wide variety of pasta, and meat, fish, side dish. Kid friendly place. We don't drink alcohol so our bill it's a little cheaper than...

We found the restaurant from Google search and found a off season working restaurant. We served by the head chef, with special VIP excellent 👌 service directly from Pepe the owner, that was the only one who could speak English, so that was a really warm welcome for our first visit in Paestum. We ordered: 3 fried cheese 🧀 - excellent 👌 ravioli with recota cheese - was with special souce that was not so good. olive and mashrum pizza 🍕- excellent although the mashrums was not fresh and came from a vecumed can 🥫 . We were the only costumers in the restaurant. So we served with full attention just to us💖.

We left a bit disappointed. We had lunch here, ordered the dish of the day, tagliatelle alla Luciana, and pappardelle ai fruttolo di mare. The former, although with a tasty sauce, it included only 2 small moscardini (small octopus), thus too expensive for what is was offered. The latter was very bad. The pasta was undercooked, the seafood tasted like made from frozen. My brother, who lives in the coastal city of Salerno, had this dish and was very disappointed.
