Il Pierrot Ristorante Pizzeria — Restaurant in Carrara

We had a lunch and dinner at Il Pierrot. During lunch time they have a good fixed price for a lunch set and the food was really tasty.

In the evening we had a nice dinner starting with a warm seafood salad that was large enough for two people to share. I continued with a good pizza and my wife took octopus that was cooked to perfection. Finished the meal with tiramisu, sorbet and a shot of nice Talisker whiskey.

The staff had a really busy night, but the lady serving us did it with a smile. The owner (I think) was also friendly and had a few moments to chat. Price level is reasonable for the quality. Pizzas under 10 EUR and main courses in the 10-15 euro range.

Fantastic restaurant with variety of Italian food - pizza, pasta, seafood and... steaks. The steaks are particularly good - they are served raw on a very hot stone, and you can decide how long they are cooked. We also had pizza and pasta - they are as good as in any Italian restaurant. Esperienza abbastanza negativa. Non ci torneremo. Siamo stati in questo ristorante sabato sera. Menù con poca scelta, che intuitivamente vuol dire: fanno poche cose, ma bene. Hmmm, non proprio. Iniziamo malino con un pezzo di pane addentato dentro al cesto, e già lì sale la voglia di alzarsi e andarsene, ma decidiamo di dargli lo stesso un'altra chance. Niente, scelta più sbagliata di questa non la potevamo fare. Sull'antipasto niente da dire in particolare, il primo però è abbastanza discutibile. "Linguine alle vongole con bottarga e scorza di limone BIO". Avrei voluto dirvi se era buono o meno ma me lo impedisce la quantità industriale di piccante che è stata messa dentro a quel sughetto. Sembrava pure uno di quelli surgelati che si comprano al supermercato. Io sono una persona da scarpetta con il pane, ma in questo caso il mio stomaco mi ha chiesto pietà e sono stata accondiscendente. In più il pomodoro... Usare datterini o ciliegini era troppo gourmet poi come piatto? Ci hanno messo quel pomodoro enorme, insapore ed acquoso che si usa per fare le insalatone con tonno e mozzarella nelle trattorie da pranzi veloci.
