We stopped into C’era Una Volta while exploring the beautiful hilltop town of Casale Marittimo, and it instantly became one of our favorite memories in Tuscany. The views from the piazza are incredible, the aperitivos were perfect, and the atmosphere was so warm and welcoming. What truly made it unforgettable was the kindness of the owner — he noticed our little boy was fascinated by the church bells and actually walked him over to let him ring one! We had a lovely lunch on the terrace at the restaurant with an amazing view. The owner was very kind and the daughter explained to us about the wine. The food is kilometer 0 and locally found.
