Ristorante "Chimera" — Restaurant in Cassino

I wish we had a place like this close to where I live.

The place is kept extremely clean, the staff are very attentive. The food and the beer are not only good but very well priced.

As an English person visiting, I was a little concerned that I would have problems communicating. However, all the staff made a huge effort.

If you get stuck, the menu on the website translates well into English.

The food is extremely well cooked.

Despite being here midweek this place was fairly busy and not once did I hear a raised voice.

A lot of young couples enjoying good beer, good food and good company.

I can't fault this...

We ordered our drinks at the bar. There is a wide selection of speciality beers to start with. The drinks were brought to our table. We chose a burger each from the menu, ably assisted by Google translate and my phone camera translating Italian into English. I digress. The burgers and their fillings were very nice so it was an enjoyable evening. Our second visit was a party of 12 the food wasn't so good this time, obviously the chef was having a harder time to supply our food in good time and it showed unfortunately.

We were charged 31 Euro for three boxes of chips as well!...

In questo locale dovrebbero capire che le intolleranze e le allergie non sono uno scherzo e come tali hanno bisogno della giusta considerazione. Il giorno 04.08.2018 mi sono recato presso questo struttura con la mia fidanzata che è un soggetto allergico (allergia ai latticini ed alle spezie) che come spesso accade ha anche delle intolleranze ad altre sostanze. Al momento dell'ordine, come facciamo sempre abbiamo avvertito delle allergie ed abbiamo richiesto un panino senza cipolla perché, come suddetto anticipato, rientra ta quelle sostanze a cui è intollerante. Appena arriva il panino lei si accorge subito dall'odore che qualcosa non va... Il panino conteneva solo l'hamburger e la cipolla😱. Va bene un incomprensione, un errore ci sta non è un problema, richiamo la cameriera, che aveva potreso l'ordine e che avevo portato il panino e le faccio vedere il contenuto del panino e le faccio notare l'errore. Lei si scusa per l'errore e ci dice che avrebbe provveduto a rifare il panino. Dopo circa 5 min lei ritorna porgendoci il panino non in maniera molto garbata e ci dice che aveva provveduto a farlo rifare... Andando a vedere troviamo della rucola messa dentro e fuori (indice che la stessa non fosse stata riposta con cura ma assemblata con approssimazione) al panino ed un fetta di pomodoro messa sotto l'hamburger. Per la composizione e per i tempi di consegna c'era sembrato un po' strano, ma alla fine l'ha mangiato. Ora a 2 ore dalla cena abbiamo la conferma dei nostri dubbi dato che la mia ragazza ora cha dei fastidiosi riflussi ed un sapore permanente in bocca di cipolla. "Fortunatamente" alla cipolla è solo intollerante e basterà un gastro protettore per arginare i problemi provocati... Ma se fosse...
