La Tartaruga — Restaurant in Castellabate

Wow this place is awesome. Great food from Pepe (Giuseppe) in the kitchen and Mauro is a true 5 Stelle Stella. The antipasto mare is crazy good, as are the girasole ravioli and I had 'The Mechanic' squid ink pasta and was bowing down at the temple of the food gods. The orata with lemon and orange was as delicate as Mauro promised. Everything was cooked without butter. If you like your seafood fresh, clean, light and full of flavour, then La Tartaruga is defo for you. Oh and then there's just how chilled and unfussy it is, and the cool seafron sunset views. The night started with some 70s Americana rock but gear shifted into some sublime classic jazz. Great evening. Review written the next day on their lettini, about to go back up...

If you are in the area - do NOT MISS TARTARUGA. Fantastic lunch on the beach in low key, relaxed, friendly and “familiy-athmosphere”😍. Fresh seafood, best pasta in the world and even chicken skewers, steaks and burger. You can also order pizza and focaccia from next door. If you can think it - they can make it. The level and stability of this beach-kitchen is incredible‼️Cold beer, extraordinary wine and full bar. June-september also amazing dinner in the evening. Very simple: MUST VISIT 🤩. In stead og going with certain expectations - go there just to experience it - meet people, enjoy the view...

Il più bello stabilimento in tutto Campania. We visited three times and were always warmly welcomed and treated by Alberto and Mauro. The food is truly outstanding and the service impeccable and gracious. The beach is an ideal size and never seems crowded.
