Don Mimì Mare — Restaurant in Castellammare di Stabia

Went for dinner at this restaurant as had so so reviews. Did not make a reservation but accepted a table on the terrace by the road. Noticed other diners which had not booked were offered seats on the terrace, but after they declined these seats they were seated downstairs in air conditioned area. No air con on terrace and an extreme amount of flies present by tables and light fittings. Some flies ended up in our drinks and had to change glasses. No apologies or new water to replace spoiled drinks. Also, it is extremely noisy from the traffic from the road. Noticed majority of diners ordering pizza. Found out later it is because they are so cheap. However, we ordered lobster pasta, ( because daughter loves lobster) one of the more expensive dishes on menu and lasagna. She Had difficulty cracking open lobster with crackers supplied , so asked for assistance from waitress to open lobster claw. She told me “No” as she said she didn’t know how to do it and looked at me with such disdain I felt quite uncomfortable. I thought it strange that a restaurant which must serve lobster regularly could not help a customer out. Felt really uncomfortable after incident, so did not finish both meals paid bill and left. Do not recommend this restaurant at all, numerous flies, just look to ceiling lights and walls, too noisy on terrace as next to road, food mediocre, can’t comment on pizza as everyone was ordering them probably because so cheap. And waiting staff not up in customer service and to make your clientele feel so uncomfortable they cannot wait to get out of establishment Is not what I look for in...

We had diner tonight. Prices about high/normal. 7-10€ pizza, 15-25 second meal. Glas of wine 5€. But the service!!! 😡😡😡😡 we were still eating our food, the watres came to take our dishes. Hold on dear, we're not in a rush, we're not a goose to swallow the food in a minute!! Than till we were inside to pay, another weiter was already taking of the dishes and my half full glass of wine, which I wanted to finish and the children were standing there kicked out of the table!!!😡 What the hell??? Simply a terrible experience, save your money and disappointment. We ordered a pizza and two pastas dishes that were uneatable. The pizza was served with canned mashrums. The pasta was too hard and impossible to bite (not aldente), the tuna was uncooked, and the sauces had a terrible taste. The waiter, though, was very nice and suggested that we take away the unbeatable dishes....
