La Voce Del Mare — Restaurant in Castellammare di Stabia

One if the best meals of my life. We had been sailing the bay for 10 days and wandered up to this seafood restaurant. They put a plastic table on the street and we put our host in charge of the night. We ate for hours. Plate after plate, platter after platter of the freshest most delicious seafood on earth. Cars circled the night, looping through town. The local firemen showed up and guests filled the indoor restaurant. But we had the best seat in Italy on the street, plastic chairs and cars overlooking our feast. Amazing. An incredible experience, 5 years ago and a highlight of life in Italy, or anywhere. Wonderful owners and incredible food at a place only the locals know....

We were advised to visit this place for cuoppo and other seafood. Not happy with the starters and the cuoppo looked big and the beginning but then I realised it has some very oily fried pizza balls as fillers. Though this is used across all cuoppos, having 1/4 of your meal fillers with something I didn't eat is quite annoying. The fried fish itself was good but also very oily. Vi presento il ristorante Il dubbio in vesti del ormai ex voce del mare con un pesce coccio da 120 euro.Con grande malincuore, dato che frequentavo questo ristorante da anni devo raccontare la mia esperienza negativa relativa a questo ristorante che precedentemente era gestito da altre persone ma oggi è diventato parte integrante del ristorante il dubbio Ci sediamo e ordiniamo il solito antipasto della casa per 2 persone che solitamente pagavamo 30 euro poi il cameriere ci consiglia un pesce coccio all'acqua pazza, da precisare che ovviamente non ci è stato fornito il menù. Con molta attesa, arriva l'antipasto con un soute di scoglio quasi freddo e neanche dopo 3 min arriva anche il secondo e ovviamente abbiamo dovuto mangiare sto benedetto soute in fretta e furia perché sennò si freddava anche il coccio. Quindi siamo stati costretti a mangiare gli antipasti dopo il secondo e rimandare indietro la frittura che ovviamente si era freddava anche quella. Quando poi è arrivato il conto siamo rimasti sconvolti dato che 2 antipasti della casa e il coccio che ci è stato fatto pagare 50 euro al k ammontava a 190 euro per 2 persone. Non fatevi fregare, non è più lo stesso ristorante, prima di ordinare chiedete i costi, sono ottimi venditori e dopo ve ne pentirete così come è successo a me. Aggiungo anche pessimo servizio, da evitare...
