Miseria E Nobiltà — Restaurant in Castellammare di Stabia

Let me tell you: I know Italy. I travelled here nearly 30 years, I know the food and I thought I know Spaghetti al Limone. Well I didn’t. This place is the best choice you can make in Amalfi. Just ask Rocco, the boss, what you should eat, and he will tell you. Listen to him. Most places in Amalfi are overpriced and they may say they use tipical products, maybe they do. But Rocco uses lemons freshly harvested in the morning, he took the herbs from the plants next to us, the torta was amazing, but the thing is: he cooks with soul. Something which is hard to find in a place with mass tourism like Amalfi. This is a Restaurant of best quality and character, warm hearted people and freshest food. And of course REAL homemade limoncello....

Very good food and good prices. Lots of locals recommend this place. But on the second visit, we Took the relative expensive lemon Risotto. And it was very basic in Taste and only contained 4 Shrimps but the price was 15 Euro. I dont unverstand this and we were very disappointed. The pasta with cod was amazing for 10€. The zuppa with cozze. Was a bit strange for me as it contained no soup. But maybe the dish is just very different...

This is a lovely place! The menu consists of a very special selection of the Italian cuisine. Mainly fish, but also some meat dishes. It feels like sitting at the table of a family kitchen. The pasta con cozze was a dream. The sparkling white vine very delicious and perfect...
