Absolutely horrible service and average food at best.
We had a reservation. We showed up at the reservation time, we were seated and then literally forgotten about for over 30 minutes. Others were getting service but we were being ignored for whatever reason. We finally asked if we could order, and we ordered two lasagnas, a margarita pizza, and tiramisu. They brought the lasagna out 10 minutes later. It was not bad at all. Not amazing either. Certainly not the quality I would expect for 14 euro and the portion size was half what I was expecting it to be. The pizza, never showed up. We ate the lasagna while our 4 year old son waited another 30 minutes for his food. We watched as people who came after us finished their food and we were just waiting. Finally the waiter stopped by with a burger. We told him, we didn't order a burger. We ordered a pizza and it still hasn't arrived. We asked if the pizza and tiramisu can be given to go, to which they brought the pizza out 2 minutes later. The cheese wasn't melted and was still cold. The sauce wasn't even cooked all the way and the crust was slightly doughy! My son ate one slice but didn't want any more, which tells me it was horrible. Five minutes later the dessert arrived and it was not to go as we had asked. By now it was getting late and we needed to get the kids to bed so we just got up and left and went to pay. We waited a while until someone came to the counter and then we asked to speak to a manager and then we explained how the service was poor and we didn't want to pay for the dessert because we didn't eat it. We were told to move over. So I moved over and waited. When the manager finally showed up she scoffed at me and walked away! We ended up just leaving because the kids needed to go to bed.
I'm not sure if they tried to charge our room or not but honestly that was the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. If the staff at least made an effort to apologize for the long wait or act like we exist, I wouldn't be so upset. But we felt so disrespected and the amount of money they charge for all that...
Read moreUn' esperienza davvero pessima!
This has got to be one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. We had to wait on the waiter 20 minutes before we could order. I ordered a small pasta with tomato sauce for my little girl; they brought out a huge slab of lasagna. I ordered a "Sphynx" salad for myself MINUS the carrots; they brought out a huge bowl of JUST sliced carrots. Then they brought out another salad that was of an entirely different type. I ordered a Spritz when we first arrived; after 40 minutes they told me that they didn't have the liqueur to make it; I had to order a bottle of water 3 times before they brought it; they recognized how awful their service was and offered the children a couple of desserts on the house. When my kids said they'd like a spoon to eat them, the waiter said he would bring them right away. I don't know where he brought the spoons, but it sure wasn't to OUR table! This place is a joke....a very expensive joke at more than 70 euros for 2 adults and 2 children. I would have started laughing if the sight of the bill had not made me want to cry instead! We told the manager, but, unfortunately, this didn't have the desired effect. Needless to say, they won't be...
Read moreHaving experienced the unthrilling and utterly ovepriced all-you-can-eat restaurant during our last stay at the hotel, we decided to give Tutankhamon a try. Staying in the adventure hotel, we had breakfast here. That was quite ok, except for a mediocre coffee, especially for Italy, and melange eggs (the same as in the main hotel). But lets talk dinner. I cant agree with the comments here about the quality. The food is good. Definitely better than Wonder and decent by any standard. It is unfortunately utterly overpriced. In the pictures I put a 15.50 kids portion of Ravioli. They are also quite chaotic, we waited more than 10 minutes to be seated, not something you want with kids. And I personally find it quite ridiculous to try to act “eco”, not giving guests a printed menu and having them gaze at their phones, and then for the pricey 2.50 coperto, you get what you see on the second picture. So all in all, its not bad if you dont mind paying extra, but I recommend you make the 10 minute walk to town, where you can find a variety of restaurants that will feed you better for half the price. And if you eat here, go for the pizza. Its decent and overpriced by only about 50%, not 100% like the rest,...
