The Worst Restaurant Experience in Sardinia – Avoid at All Costs!

If you value respect and basic hospitality, stay away from this place. This was by far the worst restaurant experience not just in Sardinia, but probably in my entire life.

Here’s what happened:

My boyfriend and I arrived around 8 PM, only to be told it was fully booked and we should return at 9 PM. Fair enough. We came back at 9 PM, and suddenly the man at the reception asked if we had a reservation. We explained he had told us to return at 9. His response? “You need a reservation.” No apology, no explanation—just rudeness. We stayed calm and asked to make a reservation then and there. He said, “Come at 9:30.” No questions asked about how many people—nothing.

We returned at 9:30, and they seated us at a large table. We were a bit surprised but didn’t think much of it. Ten minutes later, a waiter approached and asked, “When are the others arriving?” We explained it was just the two of us. Moments later, the receptionist stormed over and started shouting at me, saying I had booked for four people! I calmly explained (in Italian, because I do speak and understand it) that he never asked how many people the reservation was for. He rudely insisted, saying, “You were standing with other people.” He just assumed we were with strangers nearby and made a reservation for four people—without asking or confirming anything!

His aggressive attitude and loud shouting in front of the entire restaurant were beyond humiliating. It was absolutely unacceptable behavior from someone working in hospitality.

The food? It was decent—nothing memorable or worth the drama and stress we endured. Definitely not good enough to make up for the appalling treatment.

My advice: Don’t risk ruining your evening here. There are far better places in Sardinia where you’ll be treated with the basic respect every...

We decided to go to this restaurant and it was a mistake. Didn't get a table on the balcony as we didn't have a reservation, fair enough. Our table seemed to be the 2nd best option. Ordered some drinks - beer and water. Then ordered 2 pizzas. While waiting noticed that basically every table around us were given a basket of bread. We weren't. Then the food arrived. The salami was missing from my pizza. The waitress took it and 2 minutes later she came back with the same pizza + salami on top. It wasn't as hot as it was supposed to be at this point but still warm enough to be enjoyable. By this time 2 other tables received some bread so we called a waiter and asked for some. He looked disgruntled and gave us a basket. Isn't the bread supposed to be included in the service charge? We even asked our hotel receptionist and he said we should get some bread in every restaurant basically as soon as we sat down and order drinks. Loads of waiters and waitresses running around, most of them were nice and helpful but overall we didn't feel too welcomed here. While I was still finishing my pizza more customers arrived and the waiter was talking to them and pointing at us from 2meters away from us, felt like he's telling them they can have our table soon once we're finished. Overall experience 6/10 and that is for food and some smiley staff. Service charge is €1.50 per person which is less than the other places we've...

Altri 20 minuti passano, e chiedo nuovamente.

Massively overpriced for what you get, and the food tasted awful. My partner and I had ravioli which was lukewarm and had the oddest, most over-saturated and sickening aftertaste and the veal, which was drowning in a badly cooked sauce. Our 4-year old son had the frites and grilled chicken sausages, which were basic at best. On the upside, the wine recommendation was ok, the waiting staff was friendly and hardworking and the place is child-friendly. I cannot speak for other dishes but would not recommend this restaurant for an authentic and flavoursome Sardinian experience, it feels like a tourist trap.
