Definitely the best ice cream I had in a really long time (or ever). I had the tastes almond, pistacchio and chocolate. Especially, the almond ice cream was a dream with caramelized whole almonds. I also had a rice volcano there (arancino) and a calzone with ragù. It was still warm and so delicious. Also, it is inexpensive and can fill you up like a normal lunch. The young guys there were so nice and enjoyed telling me the story of the arancino. I'm not going to tell you, I don't want to spoil...

Un luogo di ristoro eccellente! (Anche l'unico purtroppo, a Castiglione, a ora di pranzo, era tutto chiuso, persino i carabinieri, se mi volevano scannare mi scannavano) ironia a parte... le cartocciate al ragù e alla salsiccia e cipolla erano strepitose! Il gelato al gusto nocciolato era forse il più buono che io abbia assaggiato in vita mia. L'accoglienza al bancone, da parte di una giovane signora, è stata genuina e senza fronzoli o convenevoli, a tratti un po' ruvida, tipicamente siciliana, come ci si aspetta che sia la verace indole delle donne siciliane, al netto di sovrastrutture e inutili chiacchiere. Un'esperienza autentica, eccellente dal punto di vista gastronomico. Il posto giusto in un borgo così recondito. Spero di tornare...
