Delicious, No-Nonsense Sicilian Food

We ended up eating at President Ristorante three times during our trip — and that probably says it all. It’s a small, family-run place with no frills, just really good, honest food.

Salvo runs the whole front of house on his own and makes you feel right at home. His father is in the kitchen, cooking traditional Sicilian dishes that are full of flavor and clearly made with care. It’s the kind of place where you relax, enjoy your meal, and feel like you’re in good hands.

Everything we tried was tasty and satisfying, but the tiramisu deserves a special mention — it was amazing.

I visited this restaurant while on a short vacation in Sicily. I’m a vegan and I was surprised to have so many options among which I could pick. We have had the pasta with fennels, and the aglio e olio and they were both delicious. The appetizers plate is not fully plant based, but many of the included dishes are, so it’s perfect to be shared with an omnivore person. Finally, the service was great and Salvo, was extra kind.
