Spaghetteria Seven — Restaurant in Catania

If you read opinions the portions are huge, treat it seriously - they are. The "small" portion of pasta-dishes is "1/2kg" (I think it is just the pasta weight, without additions), which is more than enough for TWO large (~2m tall), hungry males. Do not expect to finish it all if you are a large, hungry male with a hungry female - if you attempt to, you will fail. If you attempt to eat a 1/2kg portion just by yourself in one sitting, you will fail laughably and potentially die in the process. They do expect people to share a single portion, so order one 1/2kg dish + 2 plates per 2 people. However, they can (and expect) to pack any leftovers for you to take home, which is cool. The food itself is really good, although certainly not gourmet.

The prices are OK for such huge portions. They do not add "coperto" to the bill, which is cool. It's difficult/impossible to get a seat inside at evening hours without a reservation, and seats outside are fine (no AC) but noisy as they are just meters away from an extremely busy road into town. Card payment accepted no problem. Overall, I'd definitely come back for more...

Lovely little restaurant with some amazing food. We got the mixed fried Appetizer and I have to say that was probably the best breading on fried food I’ve ever had. Perfectly seasoned and made us question what we were eating a few times as it was so good. I thought the cauliflower was fish at first lol. We got the smaller pasta size but it was still 1/2kg so way too large of a portion. We got the #15 Salmon, cream and extra virgin olive oil which was super good. I do wish the noodles were cooked more but only because I’m not like the majority that likes their noodles cooked al dente, most people would say they are cooked perfectly. I saw a server bringing back leftovers for a table next to us and was excited to have 3/4 of our pasta to eat at home but unfortunately they took them and threw them away.
