Tequila Bar Di Ruscio Ediva — Restaurant in Celano

Wednesday of this week after a very long flight I finally arrived in Celano in the afternoon. After settling in I decided to walk to the Piazza to have a drink and relax. I chose this bar because it had a nice patio and it seemed like many locals were enjoying themselves. I decided to order an Aperol Spritz which I really enjoy and appreciate when they are done well. An extremely friendly and helpful young lady to my order and served me and I cannot say enough how welcoming she was. The spritz was exceptional with enough Aperol and prosecco in fact it was so enjoyable I ordered another. Best of all the price of 5 Euros each I also found very reasonable compared to what I normally pay in Toronto. The next afternoon after sightseeing around Celano I decided to return to have another especially after a very warm and being exhausted by all walking I had done. Unfortunately I did not see the same young lady and a man who I believe is the owner made the drink and served me. I cannot say how disappointed I was because it was extremely water downed with so much ice and a lack of sufficient Aperol and Prosecco. I was so disappointed that I didn’t dare order another. When I paid it was the usual 5 Euros which seems to be the going price around town. When I got change it seems I was short changed. I really did not say anything because although I was born in Celano I have lived most of my life in Canada so my Italian is not great and I have a strong English accent when I speak plus I figured it must have been an honest mistake because the bar was busy. Last evening which was Saturday I decided to go back to give the place another chance. I was extremely happy that the very nice girl was there and she took my order. Unfortunately the man made the spritz and once again it was watered down and below quality that I couldn’t really taste the Aperol and Prosecco. I decided to leave after not even finishing. I went inside and gave the young lady a 20 Euro bill for the 5 Euro cost of the drink. It seems she did not have enough money to give me the correct amount back, she called the man/owner and he came to the cash register unlocked something and got change and he told the girl that he would give me the money that was due back as change. So from what was owed he gave me a 10 Euro note and 2 coins of 2 Euro each. I do not know how simple math is done in Celano but I should have gotten back 15 Euros not 14 since the price was still 5 Euros. Again I did not say anything because of my not able to ask for it the Euro plus there were many people around that I didn’t want to cause a scene. I left in disgust and disappointment because I understand making a mistake once but not twice. To end this review is to remind some people that visitors like me come to Celano to experience wonderful things and celebrate the town where we have our family roots not to be taken advantage of and remember that us coming to Celano or any other place in Italy is to be proud of our heritage but at the same time we contribute to your local economies. So next time to it may concern to not cut the hand that feeds you. I should have given this review 0 stars but will give 2 stars only because I want to show my appreciation to the girl who...

Bar carino...l'abbiamo scelto perché ci sembrava un'ottima posizione dopo una notte passata a Celano, in occasione della festa dei Santi Martiri. La mattina, dopo aver dormito solo qualche ora in macchina, decidiamo di fare colazione lì per poi proseguire il nostro viaggio...Chiedo alla ragazza che ci serve, se gentilmente posso caricare il telefono....Lei, con tono molto scorbutico, ci dice che non hanno prese....nemmeno in bagno. Ho provato ad insistere, perché per me era importante...ma lei non ne ha voluto sapere. Sono entrata in bar e ho visto che di prese ce n'erano... e tante.... e anche in bagno!!! Ma lei pensa che i suoi clienti siano così ingenuii???? Poteva semplicemente dirmi che non effettuava quel servizio, io ero disposta anche a pagare di più..perché era veramente importante per me avere il cellulare in condizioni ottimali!! Questa presa in giro... proprio non l'accetto! Passo spesso per Celano.. ma starò lontana...

Bar in piazza a Celano, la ragazza che ci ha servito molto cortese però non ha saputo indicarci bene i vini a disposizione, ma è stata molto carina a consigliare comunque sorridendo, il trebbiano. Mia moglie ha preso un prosecco che era molto buono. Il pane e gli affettati portati per accompagnare il vino erano di media qualità, forse non freschissimi, soprattutto il salame. Ci hanno detto che era stata una giornata pienissima di gente e stando verso l'orario di chiusura magari non avevano più moltissima scelta. Nota di merito i prezzi davvero contenuti. Comunque ci ritornerei, almeno per provare di nuovo gli...
