American family dining in Chiavari. This was a WONDERFUL experience! We shared plate after small plate of many different Italian specialties and loved every bite! We had translated the menu before going but they had an English menu as well. The anchovies were simple and delicious. The ham was shaved so thin it melted in my mouth. The melon was flavorful. We tried Farinata, because it is a local specialty, and LOVED it! The Octopus was so fresh! I don't think I've ever chewed octopus before today. We tried just about every dessert and they were just perfect! The fresh, quality ingredients truly shined through and EVERY EMPLOYEE was so very friendly! If you are looking for an approachable Italian meal, I can't recommend this enough. There were locals eating simple meals. And, like all the other reviews, the was all at an AMAZING price. They don’t take reservations, but we were informed in advance that we might have to wait and that it’s important to arrive on time. Although it was a Saturday evening, we didn’t have to wait long, but we did notice the line growing shortly after we arrived. Still, it was definitely worth the wait. A little tip: the restaurant opens at 7 PM, and if you get there just a few minutes before that, you’re likely to be seated without...
