Ida Renato e Figli — Restaurant in Ciampino

What a wonderful place. The pasta was home made and the food was good and cheap, we paid 30 euro for two people. We had pasta, dessert, espresso and a liter of wine. But what really made Ida Renato e Figli stand out was Ida, Renato and the son that was there tonight. We really felt that we ate at a family restaurant. When the mosquitoes came, Ida lit a bunch anti-mosquito candles and put them all around our table. When we got stung anyway the son (sorry, I didn't catch your name) went around with lotion for the guests. When we told them that we're from Denmark, they lit up and told us about their family vacation to Scandinavia. We would definitely make a point of going back there if we're eating dinner in Ciampino again. Grazie...

Interesting place. We got there on a Wednesday evening, at first the place looked closed, but then a positive Italian man opened the door for us and seated us at a table in a large hall with many tables. We were not offered a menu. Instead we were asked about our preferences and that's how we ended up with the food in the picture. Trattoria casareccia piatti fatti in casa e pizze gustose, peccato solo per le incomprensioni come bruschette all olio "offerte" ma poi messe sul conto e prezzi poco chiari a causa della mancanza di un menù cartaceo, fa quasi pensare che i prezzi vengono fatti a piacere... eravamo 2 coppie con 2 bambini abbiamo ordinato 1fiore, 2supplì, 1 bruschetta al pomodoro, 3 pizze diverse tra loro (che però costavano uguali), 2 gnocchi e un coniglio con cicoria, 3 caffe per un totale di 100 (incluse le bruschette offerte ma pagate). Nessun problema solo che al momento del conto il cameriere arriva e a voce ci dice sono 100 euro paghiamo e visto che dovevamo dividere abbiamo chiesto il dettaglio dei prezzi per i piatti che abbiamo preso così da poter dividere il cuoco che penso sia anche uno dei proprietari molto infastidito mi scrive su un foglio bianco i prezzi e mi fa solo dopo mi accordo di aver pagato 4 bruschette che sarebbero dovute essere offerte..che dire UN PORACCIO.
