Ristorante Il Fiore — Restaurant in Città di Castello

This was a meeting place before the start of a holiday only to find it wasnt open until the evening. Dont trust Google maps! Anyway came down for a meal in our last night. Table was set for us and the waiter spoke decent English and there was an English translation on the menu so i didn't have to translate everything. Prices were cheap and the menu basic much to the disappointment if the in-laws who wanted fish. One drink was missing then the chips, which were sides, came out and left people thinking we didnt order that many. 10 minutes after the sides, the mains came out! The 'well done' steak had to be returned only to come out much the same. The English translation if Trifle was written as Truffle and so 3 people thought they had ordered a type of ice cream and 3 panna cottas came out with the wrong topping and the pinapple came out with no topping so it ended up with the in-laws marching inside to complain Bit chaotic in the end, someone not taking the orders properly so a bit of a let down, As a small provincial restaurant I would have liked to give it good marks. We will definetly come back! The food is amazing! They serve delicious bread and olive oil from this area and the pasta came really fast and was incredible! The people there are so friendly and we’ve got a limoncello with our bill 🍋 even two limoncello glasses as a gift! It was a great Italien experience....

Location carina peccato che abbiamo atteso 30 minuti prima di ordinare (non era weekend ma giovedì), solo una persona (presumo il capo sala, che cmq cercava di farsi in quattro per far il più possibile, una persona molto gentile) in tutto il locale che prende le comande per mangiare. Abbiamo ordinato un controfiletto e non ci è nemmeno stata chiesta la cottura della carne, che a mio avviso non era nemmeno gran che. Il dolce molto deludente, ho speso 6€ per mangiare solo panna, "zuppa tre gusti". Nel complesso mi aspettavo di mangiare molto meglio dalle recensioni lette.
