AL MARINA noto restaurant — Restaurant in Comacchio

We went for lunch on a sunny Sunday in May, and enjoyed the outside terrace, sheltered from the sun and with a beautiful view on the marina. We were welcomed by a tasty amuse-bouche with dorade in pesto sauce, we had spaghetti alla chitarra alle vongole and cacio e pepe, then calamari e gorgonzola and branzino croccante (sea bass baked and then fried); for dessert we tried cheese cake al forno (Italian style), sorbetto al limine (served on a plate like ice cream) and classic mascarpone - all very good, with some local interpretation. The food menu is relatively limited, and focuses on few specialties, ensuring fresh ingredients and skillful preparation. For wine we chose a Falanghina Morabianca from 2022, which we enjoyed with the fish dishes. The staff was friendly and efficient, background music was played at pleasantly low volume. The ambiance was comfortable and pleasant, though a big table was at times quite noisy. The bill for the three of us was €160. Excellent food by Porto Garibaldi. Italian seafood classics with an elegant twist. Everything very fresh. Oysters were a bit small so would not recommend them here but everything else was divine, service knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend the spaghetti chitarra caccio e pepe and the octopus. Spaghetti alle vongole were also good but a bit too delicate for me - if you like the real thing as served in South of Italy, probably best to get another dish. Will...

Dopo aver letto le recensioni di tanti mi è venuta la curiosità di testare questo ristorante del lido Estensi .. direttamente affacciato sulla marina nuova quindi posizione rilassante, giusta per ammirare i natanti ormeggiati mentre si cena .. ci accomodiamo al tavolo e subito veniamo assaliti da nugoli di zanzare assatanate che non ci lasciano un attimo di pace .. chiediamo al cameriere che ci assicura che l impianto insetticida funziona regolarmente .. ordiniamo antipasti e primi piatti .. dopo poco ci portano un banale antipasto freddo marina che non ha nulla di diverso dai tanti che abbiamo assaggiato in zona … ma il bello viene quando ci servono i primi piatti : spaghetti con le vongole .. praticante cruda la pasta !!! Non si riusciva nemmeno ad arrotolarla sulla forchetta .. incredibile !!! Talmente asciutti che parevano in bianco !!! Le vongole nemmeno si riusciva a raccoglierle assieme alla pasta .. mah .. i polipetti in umido erano lessati insipidi e senza un filo d olio .. insomma .. mi aspettavo molto di più dopo le recensioni che avevo letto .. non credo tornerò più in questo ristorante , non mi ha lasciato nessun ricordo positivo...
