Kincho Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Como

We went to this restaurant before when staying at the Sheraton and it was always really nice and laid back. This time we didn't stay at the hotel as it's gone very expensive, but we still walked down from Cernobbio on one evening to go to Kincho as it was always nice and reasonable enough when we went in the past. Unfortunately we were disappointed this time. I ordered pizza and my husband wanted steak - the only options were t-bone or tomahawk, there were no prices on the menu as it depends on weight. We should have asked, but assumed it wouldn't be too bad judging from other dishes on the menu and meals we had there in the past. We ate and it was OK, but nothing special. Then the bill came - the steak was over 140€ on its own!! The total bill came to almost 230€, for a pizza, steak, jacket potato, 2 cocktails, 2 espressos and various other charges. We felt totally ripped off and won't be returning again. It's really not worth that...

Expectations for the Sheraton hotel's second restaurant (next to their Michelin star flagship) were well exceeded. Pizzas done in wood fire oven with quality origin ingredients were very tasty. Only downside is the pizza choices were limited. Tried two separate steaks including the tomahawk which were delicious - done in a coal oven which meant the crust was particularly delicious. Sides and sauces were a little basic. Setting in the park is very nice on warm days. Staff and manager are all very friendly and helpful. Falls just short of 5 stars due to limited range and uninspired accompaniments - but this is really nit-picking - recommend eating here especially if you stay at...

We stayed at the Sheraton and despite being cautious that we didn't want to spend our entire stay eating at the restaurant in the hotel (where is the fun in that?!) we ended up eating twice in one week at Kincho. One was pasta for me and ribs for my husband and once we shared a pizza (washed down with excellent cocktails!).
