I was really disappointed with my recent experience at Cianel. We made a reservation for a party of 8 and arrived on time, only to be told that our table was not available. The manager, who seemed completely unconcerned by the situation, simply apologized and said that there was nothing she could do. I was shocked at the lack of professionalism and customer service. We had been eagerly anticipating our meal, and to be turned away like this was simply unacceptable. We had the best time at this restaurant — truly one of the best dining experiences we've had over the years. The food was fantastic, unique, and beautifully presented. One of the only places in Italy where I have had bad food. They seem to attract a lot of tourists. The bread was homemade and yummy, but the other items we had were not great, and at least the vegetables were obviously frozen and warmed up.
