New Lido — Restaurant in Comunità Alta Valsugana e Bersntol

My experience at New Lido has to be one of the best I've had in Italy. The service was wonderful and perfectly timed. Our server Alex was a great conversationalist even with the slight Italian/English language barrier and his recommendations for both food and drink were spot on and greatly appreciated. The food itself tasted fresh and beautifully balanced. We had one of the daily specials, the risotto teroldego, which was cooked to perfection and had the right amount of tangy sweetness from the wine. We also enjoyed one of their signature pinsa, a must have while dining there. Between the unique texture of the bread and the quality of the toppings, the pinsa at New Lido are a must try for anyone visiting the area. We finished off our meal with two desserts, a creme brulee and apple strudel. Apple strudel is a typical desert of the region, and is worth trying at New Lido as it is served with a delicious cinnamon gelato that is a lovely match for the sweetness of the apple and the buttery taste...

Di passaggio con mia moglie sull'altopiano di Piné, dopo una bella passeggiata sulla riva del lago, cerchiamo un posticino dove pranzare... È domenica, ma scopriamo che ad Aprile molti locali sono chiusi per ferie... Troviamo per caso questo locale e proviamo ad andarci... Troviamo un parcheggio abbastanza grande, ovviamente già pieno di auto, ma con fortuna riusciamo a parcheggiare e ci avviciniamo al dehor del locale... C'è la possibilità di scegliere tra il chiosco, dove vengono servite solamente pinse, oppure il ristorante, dove, oltre alle pinse vengono serviti anche altri piatti... Gentilmente ci fanno accomodare e ci propongono anche su una lavagnetta i piatti del giorno... Io opto per la pinsa "La Costalta" (17€), mentre mia moglie sceglie proprio il primo del giorno: spaghettoni con zucchine, pomodori semi-secchi, stracciatella, etc (15€)... Il posto è molto bello, proprio a filo lago, ed il servizio abbastanza veloce... Purtroppo avevamo fretta di proseguire il nostro viaggio e non abbiamo avuto tempo di ordinare un dolce... Il locale verso le 13 si era riempito e, nonostante le corse dei camerieri, il tempo di servizio è ovviamente rallentato... Ma devo dire che abbiamo trovato tutto il personale davvero gentile e professionale! Cibo buono e curato anche nell'impiattamento, prezzi non proprio economici, ma in linea con la location sul lago, il servizio ed i prezzi attualmente sul mercato della ristorazione.
