From the moment we stepped inside, the service was chaotic and indifferent. Staff rushed around in disarray, clearly overwhelmed and operating without any kind of logical system.
One of the waiters physically bumped into me and didn’t even pause to apologise. Not a word. The girl behind the till looked as though she couldn’t be less interested; no smile, she just wanted the money. Not even the bare minimum attempt at hospitality.
We ordered food for five people, three of which were, in my opinion, basic dishes: a pizza, aglio olio, and spaghetti bolognese. The pizza came out first before the drinks had even arrived.
Two other dishes arrived, including a really poor Greek salad, and then came the wait. Over 30 minutes passed and still no sign of the pasta dishes. The fact that the pizza area is totally separate from the kitchen results in a completely disjointed service. It then became painfully obvious they’d forgotten about the bolognese entirely, which they never acknowledged when I chased them up about it. At no point during the meal did a single member of staff check in on the table, the food or if everything was ok.
As for the wine, two glasses of white, and the amount in each glass was laughably poor. For the price charged, the measures were borderline insulting.
This place is clearly overwhelmed and incapable of handling a busy service. No organisation, no customer care, and no excuse.
We left disappointed and irritated. I struggle to understand how it averages 4.0...
Read moreMy wife and I went here for a pizza. The pizza was well prepared. The restaurant uses a wood fired pizza oven and the pizzas are quite large, enough to still a large appetite. I had a desert as well, a lemon cake. Also quite fine. This restaurant, however, is not the right place for a slow dinner. The staff expects you to sit down, order, eat and then leave. When we asked the waitress just for 2 beers first and to order food and other drinks once we finished the beers, we noticed by the startled reaction that this was a quite unusual request. Later on we ordered food and wine. We noticed around us that the same tables sometimes had 3 different occupants in the same time we had our beers, pizza and desert. Some people eat fast, others eat more slowly. A member of the staff, perhaps in charge (or taking charge?) was pushing the other staff members to work harder. Ironically this led them to miss the empty plates and glasses on our table for over half an hour. At some point the bossman smacked the menu down on our table and opened it up on the desert page and pointed insistently at it. My wife, out of principle didn't order desert. In short, absolutely fine for a quick dinner snackbar style, not fine for an...
Read moreFrom the time we, 2 people, ordered our drinks and food, it took about 50 minutes to actually get the second persons dish (19.4520.35). The first dish took maybe 15 minutes to serve after the drinks were delivered which is completely fine. However no second dish was served. 20-25 minutes later I asked a waiter to check on the second dish, after which the waiter went to check. No updates on the matter were given though, and an additional 10 minutes later the second dish was served; long after the first person was finished with their food, with no explanation or apology on the restaurant's behalf (although a simple one was given when we were leaving). Meanwhile, guests who entered the restaurant several minutes after we had ordered our drinks and food were served, and I also saw at last one couple whom were seated but then forgotten about and consequently left the restaurant when realising they would not be getting any attention from the staff. Had a hard time enjoying the food once it was actually delivered as we were really sick of the experience by then and looking to get away from there, but I suppose the food...
