I stayed for 6 nights in this hotel, in a single room and will copy-paste the review I wrote on booking.com:
Positive: The hotel is a great place to stay whether you're a beach or hiking lover. As a solo traveler, I'm used to staying in hostels, but because I couldn't find any good quality hostel in Riva Del Garda I picked this budget hotel instead. I personally am not interested in beaches at all but hiking trails are easy to reach by public transport or by foot from this hotel, so the location was definitely perfect for me. The hotel has a great breakfast with homemade cake, 3 kinds of mini croissants, fresh fruit salad, yogurt, cereals, boiled eggs, toast, and much more. The hotel staff was always very friendly. The room & bathroom were cleaned every day and it was very silent at night. Also about the bathroom: to me, it looked like it was quite new.
Negative: It feels like the room is not made for a 193cm (6'4") tall man. My feet were hanging over the mattress when I was sleeping and I also had to watch out for my head when entering the bathroom. I couldn't stand up straight and look into the bathroom mirror at the same time either, I had to bend over to do that. Being someone who usually stays in hostels, I'm not used to a lot of comfort but I was missing it a bit to have a relax chair, or a very small couch in the room anyways (for those 2 days that I would just stay at the hotel to rest). I ended up spending them sitting down in bed with some extra pillows for back support instead. Breakfast times are from 7:30 until 10:00, ideally, I'd have the possibility to have breakfast until 11:00. So for me, that was also a bit of a bummer. But anyways, all of this was no big deal to me though and I totally enjoyed my 6-night-stay.
There was 1 negative thing that could be a big deal for some people though, and this is about the WiFi connection: It is terrible. You can't even scroll instagram on it as it will take minutes to just load the photo's on your feed so you better have enough mobile data when you're planning to stay...
Read moreHello everyone,||I strongly recomend you not to stay in this hotel and to look for other accomodations in Riva.||We just spent one night there 6 adults 4 children in three rooms.|I have to say in advance that rooms were clean and tidy, the breakfast was close to expectations and the girls at breakfast where doing their job accordingly.||After that, Air Conditioning not working (only warm): i immediately told the guy at the reception about the problem and he had a look and said it was working, when it definely DIDN'T.||Very bad the bathroom: shower with a "self closing" tap ( too old to work properly) so you had to wash yourself using one hand to keep water flowing.||Sink almost detached from the wall.||Seating on the wc means to put feet well INSIDE the shower, keeping the shower foldable doors open to make room to sit properly.||Water flow in the shower pavement almost totally obstructed.||Overall judgement is really bad because furnitures are really too old and bad mainteined for the prices offered, when i made this observation at the frontdesk the answer was "we are renewing : we are changing the TVs". No comment.||This morning, when one of us told in a kind manner the guy present at the reception that they couldn't sleep well because of a continuous noise (coming from a big fan?), asking politely what could it be, the answer was :" i don't know, i never slept in this hotel".||Not very professional to my opinion.||That's me, my family and friends experience at Primo, and finally, I can't help mentioning an astonishing 0,50 € for a glass of water in a bill of three beers at the bar. Maybe it's normal, maybe not.||Fabio from Gallarate (ITA), in English...
