Visited twice; the first time around was mildly better. I can't complain about the food, but the service is an awkward affair. I get the distinct impression that the British tourist is generally unwelcome regardless of how polite we attempt to be. We were only offered limoncello on the first occasion, possibly because I tipped on an already overcharged bill perhaps. The second time around we noticed a 4 x coperto addition, which is a common charge per person; somewhat excessive for just the two of us!?...

We happened to find ourselves at Riva as we were travelling around the lake. As we sat by the lake a plan developed to celebrate my sister-in-law's 65th birthday. I approached the hotel staff and shared my ideas with them, booked the table and proceeded to have a wonderful celebration. The food and service were both first class. Well done...

Wir sind dort gelandet, da es mit Glutenfreien Speisen wirbt. Die Auswahl ist so sagen wir mal überschaubar und eher für eine Verfügbarkeit aufgeschrieben. Wir haben uns für Gnocchi entschieden. Auf die Frage was dabei wäre bekamen wir die Antwort ‚Nichts‘ auf die Frage ob da auch keine Soße bei wäre sagt der Kellner nein. Wir forderten zumindest eine Tomatensoße dazu ein. Als 2. Gericht haben wir eine Pizza gewählt. Die beiden Gerichte kamen nicht gleichzeitig. Ist in dieser Region generell schwierig bei Pizza und anderen Gerichten zusammen. Aber. Die Gnocchi kamen als die Pizza fast aufgegessen war. Im Prinzip waren es gebratene Polenta Taler 6 Stück an der Zahl. Vom Durchmesser nur leicht größer als ein 2€ Stück und vielleicht einen halben cm dick. Keine Ahnung was dabei so lange gedauert hat. Zudem hat das bisschen 10€ gekostet…. Im Supermarkt haben wir 1kg fertige Polenta für knapp 90 Cent gefunden wo zig Portionen davon drin gewesen wären. Eine Frechheit wie wir finden. Nicht empfehlenswert wenn man...
