We go every year and twice a year since 15 years to Restel de Fer ! The place is just wonderfull and the Meneghelli family became our italian family. We discovered the place looking for a calm and relaxing hotel closed to the lake when we were going to work in the area. Something with a higher standard level, service and food, closed to the excellence. This place is just amazing, you feel like home in Italy and the food is just excellent. We eat every evening ate the restaurant, we discover always new food, new wines. Everything is home made with local product. They produce their own oil, make incredible "pasta de tartufo", original made carpaccio, osso buco, fish from the lake. All the family is always at disposal. i never really write google reviews, it’s not often i have such an experience that makes me feel like i must! myself and my best friend are visiting lake garda together and had dinner here last night. the food, the service, and the atmosphere were second to none. the wait staff were so friendly, welcoming and knowledgable. i could not recommend this place enough! special thanks to our lovely waiter who had actually left the job a few days beforehand but just worked last night to give an extra hand :) if i ever make it back to lake garda i will absolutely return here! ps. get the homemade vanilla ice cream it will...

5 stelle al Restel De Fer sono quasi un insulto, ce ne vorrebbero almeno il doppio per poter votare come si deve un posto come questo. È uno di quei luoghi, ahimè sempre più rari, dove la passione per il mestiere e l'esaltazione del territorio raggiungono dei livelli quasi religiosi, e soprattutto dove ciò traspare con la più assoluta naturalezza, senza mai far scadere il tutto in una banale, parossistica forzatura per incantare gli ignoranti turisti. È un posto VERO. Abbiamo avuto il privilegio di essere stati seguiti e consigliati per tutta la nostra esperienza enogastronomica da Marco, discendente di 3^ generazione della famiglia proprietaria che da lustri si tramanda le tradizioni culinarie e di ospitalità che distinguono il Restel. Senza di lui, per quanto indubbiamente avremmo potuto mangiare e bere molto bene, non sarebbe affatto stata la stessa cosa: la sua accortezza, affabilità, eccezionale conoscenza sia dei singoli ingredienti che compongono i piatti (molti dei quali di produzione propria, diversi altri di provenienza locale) che dei relativi accostamenti con i vini (una carta da fare invidia a chiunque altro) ci hanno lasciati estasiati, permettendoci così di acquisire la piena consapevolezza di ciò che altrimenti avremmo semplicemente e banalmente trangugiato. Ogni cosa si scelga, sia dal menù che fuori, è preparata tecnicamente in maniera perfetta: giusta sapidità, giusta acidità, giusta dolcezza...insomma, tutto a regola d'arte. Avendo provato sia il menù di lago che il menù di terra, posso dire con assoluta certezza che, qualora vi troviate a Riva del Garda e vogliate assaporare la più pura territorialità trentina, non potrete di certo mancare di fermarvi al Restel De Fer.
