La Taverna da Giovanni — Restaurant in Comunità della Vallagarina

Wow. We were on our way to Ortisei and stopped here spontaneously and boy are we glad we did. After half a week of touristy eats in the lake como area, this spot provided such a refreshing take on authentic southern Italian dishes. We were absolutely shocked by the attention to detail and high quality ingredients for the price point. The antipasto was juicy and bursting with flavour. The swordfish pasta is a must try (the fish melts in your mouth- best pasta dish I’ve had in Italy), and the seafood pasta had a great balance of salty + savoury. Giovanni was a delightful host and it’s so evident he cares about it the food he puts in front of you. This is truly the best hidden gem we were fortunate enough to come across. EAT HERE...

We went three times during our holidays at Villa Lagarina. The first time, the antipasti « Anema et Core » touched our heart ❤️ and invited us to discover more and more… Giovanni is such a lovely person passionated by his cooking with his specialities fish and seafood 🦞. He invited us to trust him and he prepared for us a wonderful menu! The flavor of all the dishes was so delicious that it was painful for us to leave the taverna for the last time 🥲… The Giovanni’s limoncello delighted our anima et core!

Un posto in montagna e sentirsi al mare...per la prima cosa l'accoglienza di Giovanni e Emilia ti fa sentire come a casa.La locescion si trova in centro storico di un piccolissimo paesino di villa lagarina appena 5 Min da autostrada con un comodissimo parcheggio.Dentro locale si stava bene essendo una tavernetta sotto con muri grossi, anche se propietario ci ha chiesto se volevamo che ci accendessi e aria condizionata presente al locale ma veramente si stava troppo bene e non serviva. Giovanni ci ha portato la lavagnetta con specialità del giorno e ci ha fatto scansionare menù su qr code e essendo nella taverna internet non prendono chiedendolo ci ha fatto rette wiifii senza nessun problema...ordinato antipasto Anema e core era abbondante e squisito ,quasi quasi un piatto unico ,poi abbiamo preso linguina all astice che era spettacolare e abbondante e pasta cotta al momento perfettamente al dente,di secondo pesce pescato e si sentiva la freschezza e delicatezza della cucina e prezzo più che onesto ...e per finire dolci fatti da loro sono una prelibatezza...non parliamo di caffè e limoncino offerto da loro ...sarà la nostra tappa appena possiamo abbiamo mangiato come a casa lo consigliamo vivamente da provare .top...
