Chalet GUD Marilleva 1400 — Restaurant in Comunità della Valle di Sole

This is undoubtedly the worst restaurant in the area. I have tried it on several occasions and sadly, every time I was somewhere between disappointed and shocked. I should say that some of the food ideas are good and there does occasionallyt seem to be effort from the kitchen - but mostly it is an vastly overpriced version of quite boring food. There is very little variety. The decor is cold and more reminiscent of a station waiting room and the service is some of the worst you could experience anywhere. Downright rude, mostly incompetent and generally disinterested in guests (with the exception of one or two ladies who really do their best - but seem very embarrased by the whole situation). The heating never seems to work properly. A great shame. It could be a really nice, really Italian pizza parlour with maybe a private area for more demanding guests. As it is, the concept of a mondern haute cuisine in an open plan ski lodge fails miserably. E la peggior figuraccia dell’inizio 2025 se l’aggiudica lui, lo Chalet Gud Marilleva, che con la maleducazione e la disorganizzazione accoglie il nuovo anno trattando male gli eventuali clienti che lo avevano scelto per passare due ore dopo la mezzanotte. Io e il mio compagno avevamo deciso di andarci accogliendo le varie proposte fatte durante i loro après-ski in cui proponevano fuochi d’artificio, brindisi di mezzanotte e dj set fino alle ore 02:00 per €5 all’entrata esclusa consumazione, per sicurezza controlliamo sui vari social che confermano quanto detto. Arrivati li, scopriamo che non si può entrare nel locale prima di mezzanotte e mezza e che il costo per entrare era diventato di €20 a persona, decidiamo ugualmente di aspettare in fila, composta al massimo da 60 persone. All’apertura delle porte iniziano già i problemi, con i buttafuori che fanno entrare due persone alla volta e la fila che inizia a spintonare. Dopo qualche minuto dall’apertura ci dicono che il locale è già al completo e che avrebbero fatto entrare solo se si fosse un po’ svuotato, dopo 5 minuti arriva un altro responsabile, che con fare scorbutico aggredisce tutti quelli che si trova davanti e decide di sua spontanea volontà che non avrebbe fatto entrare più nessuno perché a suo dire si era rotto il cazzo. I had an allergic reaction despite alerges clearly exposed on the self service table and me asking one of the staff. When confronted about it the staff denied any errors on their side, wasn't cross contamination either, I now myself and the reaction was too fast to be contamination.
