This hotel was just incredible. Roberto and Carla the owners are amazing, they were so welcoming and friendly and their hospitality truly made our stay unforgettable. The room we stayed in was family room it was a good size, modern, air con, a four poster bed, well decorated with a balcony with seating and a mechanised blind and a beautiful view. There are lifts so it’s all accessible and easy with luggage. The rest of the hotel is decorated with artwork and is impeccable, there has been a lot of attention to detail and great interior design. There was a piano in the entrance with a great history attached to it that guests could play on. The pool area and rooftop jacuzzi were amazing also. The food from the restaurant was absolutely incredible, we were so impressed, it was definitely fine dining; quality, fresh, homemade and delicious. The breakfast was also exceptional with homemade biscuits, fresh fruit, bread, freshly squeezed OJ, cheese, ham and eggs done to your liking. The staff were all attentive and when we overslept and were worried we would miss our flight they ensured we didn’t miss our breakfast by getting it all ready for us ASAP. We also did a tour of the whole hotel and it’s incredible there are so many huge rooms for weddings. They look amazing with chandeliers etc and even have an underground bar and nightclub, when I heard how reasonable the price was I couldn’t believe it. It would be an amazing wedding venue. I never write reviews but just had to because this hotel was fantastic and it...
Read moreWe have just returned from a 5 night stay at Madonnina and I can honestly say we had a holiday of a lifetime, we made such fantastic memories. We have 3 children aged 12, 10 and 6 and they didn't want to leave! Carla, Roberto, Ludo and Stevie are wonderfully kind hosts that went out of thier way to help us and make us feel welcome. The hotel itself is simply stunning with views over the Alps and is steeped in history. The artwork alone at the hotel is worth a visit. The breakfast is fantastic and children eat free, full of local produce in abundance. I urge you to eat in the restaurant in the coutyard in the evening as they serve the most delicious food against the backdrop of this stunning hotel. The chidren loved the rooftop pool and garden that looked out over the Alps, simply stunning! We feel so lucky to have found Madonnina and will...
Read moreOn a big road trip from Spain through France & into Italy in a day, we searched on booking.com for a place to stay that had parking & a restaurant that wasn't too far off the main motorway. We found Albergo Ristorante Madonnina located in Cantello & enjoyed our first night back in our favourite country of Italy. With instructions where to park, in the large car park just across the road from the Albergo, we were warmly greeted & showed to our very spacious room. The Albergo is showing its age, but it was very clean & had everything we needed in the room. There is a restauarant within the hotel which again, we were made to feel very welcome in & were very well looked after, as well as enjoying our meals. A lovely quiet spot for a night on the road in a family owned &...
