We stayed here during our first visit to Lake Garda (September 2016) and absolutely loved the hotel and the location. ||It took us about 2 hours to get here from Milan Linate airport, and after the twisty drive along the lakes we were glad to find the hotel so welcoming. ||The hotel is so very quaint. It’s a small family run hotel, and is set right on the lake in Limone.|We upgraded our room and were glad we did as we had a balcony right on the lake with such beautiful views.||Breakfast was lovely - very Italian with meats and cheeses and lovely fresh orange juice squeezed from oranges. The view from the breakfast room is just amazing. ||The staff are very friendly - we sat in the bar a few nights and had a lovely chat with the lady, she was very helpful and friendly. ||The pool is large (although very cold!) and although the hotel is on the lake, there is no ‘beach’ as such - so although you can paddle and get in the water, there is no sand or stones to really sit on the beach. Bad things: Many of the staff is unfriendly and you can not excpect any smiles. Also we had a specific disturbing rude incident from the staff, when we needed help with parking. In the breakfast buffet expect to being met with irritation from the staff when you don’t do it exactly how you are supposed to.
No air conditions in the rooms. We unfortunately took it as a given when booking the hotel, that there was air con. When you are staying there in above comfortable temperatures. This resulted in us leaving a day before.
The hotel could use a big helping hand when it comes to maintenance
Good things: Young staff is friendly Beautiful location Nice beach
