I have visited this restaurant several times, hoping for a pleasant atmosphere and good service. Unfortunately, each time I noticed that foreigners are treated differently than local guests. In 2024, I managed to establish better rapport with the staff, but this year (2025) it didn’t make any difference—easy come, easy go.

The food is tasty, and the wine selection is interesting, but the level of service leaves much to be desired. It’s a pity because the place has potential, but such an attitude towards customers discourages future visits.

I hope the restaurant will pay attention to this issue, as the atmosphere is just as important as the food.

Follow up

I couldn’t help but notice that when a language other than English or German is spoken during our private conversations, there seems to be an assumption that we might be Russian. I’m sure it’s not intentional, but avoiding such generalizations could really help create a more welcoming atmosphere...

Sono stata ieri a cena in questo ristorante. Riassumerei l’esperienza come una grande delusione. Avevamo prenotato due giorni prima per le 19.30 e siamo arrivati in orario per la nostra prenotazione. Purtroppo però il nostro tavolo non era pronto, o meglio era stato occupato senza dare precedenza alla nostra prenotazione. Abbiamo dovuto aspettare più di 30 minuti per sederci, nonostante avessimo prenotato e ci fossimo presentati in orario. Questa cosa non mi era mai successa. Il locale era talmente pieno che avevano infilato tavoli ovunque e la distanza tra uno e l’altro era al massimo di una spanna, tanto che risultava difficile sia sedersi che muoversi. Il personale è stato a dir poco pressante e scortese. Metteva pressione a tutti sul cenare velocemente. Al tavolo seduto a fianco al mio appena sedute (dopo aver prenotato giorni prima) è stato comunicato che il tavolo andava liberato in 1h. Ovviamente le clienti erano parecchio infastidite. I camerieri si sono lamentati del tempo che ci ho messo per guardare il menù e ordinare senza disturbarsi di non essere sentiti. E alla fine della cena il cameriere si è anche permesso di fare una sgradevole battuta sul fatto che fossimo stati “veloci”. Stando al fatto che siamo stati seduti 1.3h che credo sia un tempo di permanenza assolutamente nella media per una cena al ristorante, non credo che fosse il caso di far sentire i clienti a una cena a tempo. La rispettabilità di un ristorante non si fa solo per la bontà del cibo, ma hanno un ruolo importante anche la location e il servizio. Conosco ristoranti organizzati con due turni per ogni servizio, ma i clienti vengono preventivamente avvisati che hanno uno slot preciso per sedere al tavolo. Inoltre, trovo vergognosa la sfacciataggine e maleducazione dei camerieri che hanno interagito con il mio tavolo (magari altri non sono così) e trovo oltremodo scioccante che non sia stata rivolta neanche una scusa a tutti i clienti che come noi hanno dovuto aspettare per più di mezz’ora per potersi sedere al tavolo nonostante la prenotazione. Io ho preso una pizza mentre il mio fidanzato i tagliolini cacio e pepe ed entrambi erano buoni anche se niente di particolarmente eccezionale. Peccato per i tavoli troppo vicini, l’attesa eccessivamente lunga perché il ristorante era in ritardo senza nessuna scusa rivolta ai clienti per il disagio e per il cameriere veramente maleducato. Io capisco che in ristorante voglia lavorare e non voglia rifiutare anche persone che arrivano all’ultimo senza prenotazione, però c’è modo e modo di farlo e sicuramente la loro modalità è risultata per me...

Pleasant location, typical ambiente, very large dining areas. TABLES CLEAN WITH FRESH LINEN AND CUTLERY. FAST AND FRIENDLY SERVICE. W.C. NEEDS MORE FREQUENT ATTENTION DUE TO HIGH TRAFFIC ... No Vegan options apart from the usual side dishes or a small mixed salad. (The world is changing and many people too have changed to plant based...) I ordered the roast potatoes and grilled veg (which were soggy and broiled not grilled!) and the portions were not fresh and certainly not hot from the stove/oven!...Not acceptable at any time, to serve old reheated portions. WE DIDNT COMPLAIN AS WE WERE THERE FOR A QUICK MEAL AS WE HAD LIMITED TIME AND NO TIME TO WAIT FOR A CHANGE OF ORDER but the waiter didn't even ask why my order was only half consumed...surley that is a sign of a customers dissatisfaction.
