Ristorante Miralago Costermano — Restaurant in Costermano sul Garda

We went as a family of 6. 2 of our kids had burger and schnitzel, which was average but the kids liked it. One chicken dish was ok. Then we ordered the fish from Lake Garda, it looked, smelled and tasted horrible. So bad that I did not eat it, even the jacket potato side dish was not good. We also had the octopus which was way below average and the pizza was terrible, it was greasy and the base was not good at all. A real shame given we were in Italy. But the worse thing was the reaction of the waiter who did not care one bit that we disliked the food. First, when he collected the plate that was still full, I said I didn’t like the fish at all. He just ignored my comment and kept clearing the table. When it was time to pay, I said to the waiter again that we did not like three out of six meals and he just replied that we were the first to say that and he cannot understand why we did not like it. It was so rude, no apology, no asking what was wrong with the food and nothing was taken off the bill or offered as compensation. I do not record this place to anyone. And the bill was twice as much as we paid at a fantastic little local pizza place around the corner for far inferior food. Very...

I really wonder where these star ratings come from – I believe only from the beautiful view. The food was below standard; I have never had anything like this in Italy. I ordered the chef’s special, tuna pasta, which tasted like canned cat food. It smelled old. My partner ordered a pizza, which also seemed like it came from the freezer – tasteless.

The service was rude, and of course, no one asked us at any point if everything was okay. As Italians, they surely know the quality of their food, so the only purpose seems to be taking money from tourists. I used to think it wasn’t possible to get bad food in Italy, since it’s so important to them – but I was wrong.

This restaurant would have a lot of potential thanks to the beautiful view, but the chef and the arrogant male waiters need to be replaced. I hope the feedback is read and that attention is paid to these issues! Wishing you all the best and positive winds...

We had very bad experience with this restaurant, which we occasionally visited, since it is situated directly on the road. The view is excellent, we cannot also say anything against food, it was OK. The service was very bad and the waiter was very unfriendly. The bill was not correct, and since I remembered the prices from the card, I asked to bring it again. They did not do this, but mentioned that the table olive oil, several drops of which we put on our bread, is very expensive and is only for the salad!!! After that they brought another bill with more correct prices. Have we know that, we would never have visited this...
