Da Igino — Restaurant in undefined

By far the best restaurant we have visited. The menu is small (and assumingely changes depending on the fish caught that day) but delicious. Prices are good, especially when it comes to drinks.

While you enjoy your meal and drinks, you have an outstanding view onto the ocean. I recommend coming here for the sunset! Let’s talk about the service: We have felt very welcome and the waitresses were amazing. We don’t speak Italian and they only a few words English, but we understood each other and they tried their very best to describe the menu! Really, we were amazed by how friendly and courteous they are.

We visited Da Igino twice for lunch during our stay on Ponza and enjoyed both times. The anchovies, pasta vongole, pasta with fish ragu and the whole dentice fish were excellent. I also tried the trippa di mare as a starter, which I am sure was well cooked but just not to my taste.

Atmosfera piacevole, ma poca scelta e le scelte presenti non erano nemmeno buone

Siamo arrivati al ristorante attratti dalla bella atmosfera: luci soffuse, ambiente tranquillo e vista rilassante. Le prime impressioni sono state ottime, sembrava il posto ideale per una cena serena e gustosa.

Ci accomodiamo e, una volta portato il menù (un foglio scritto a mano con penna, un po’ improvvisato ma anche simpatico in un certo senso), scopriamo che come secondi c’era praticamente una sola opzione disponibile. Nonostante fosse solo intorno alle 21 – e il locale non fosse affatto pieno – ci viene detto che era rimasto solo 1 pezzo di pesce spada, dato all’altro tavolo d’altronde… 😅

Un po’ sorpresi, abbiamo cercato di prenderla con spirito, ma ci è dispiaciuto che il menù fosse così limitato e poco organizzato, soprattutto considerando l’ambiente che prometteva decisamente di più. Quindi pendiamo: cozze per antipasto - BUONE 2 piatti di spaghetti con le vongole che praticamente erano pasta in bianco con olio e che gentilmente abbiamo rimandato indietro Per secondo ci sono stati proposti dei gamberi , per l’esattezza 7 gamberi a 27€ e abbiamo rifiutato chiedendo una frittura molto buona venuta 18€ C’è da dire che i due piatti di spaghetti con le vongole ( pasta in bianco ) non ci sono stati addebitati
