"A Casa Mia" Ristorante-Griglieria — Restaurant in Diamante

Rather disappointing. It all started well, they were nice with the usual chit chatting but then the food was the usual touristy old-leftover-we-need-to-get-rid-off. The antipasti plate took like less than 2 minutes to arrive. Not surprising, the salami tasted like it had been cut 3 days ago. We took a side of potatoes, they were sliced and kind of fried but had clearly been warmed up as they tasted old. I even told the waiter when he cleared the table and there was no apologies whatsoever from him nor even with the owner when we paid the bill. They just want your money and want you to leave. In any normal good restaurant in Italy, staff would always ask you how everything was. Here, they are clearly told NOT...

We got one of two tables outside and it was such a nice breezy evening, so that part, we really enjoyed. Unfortunately, for the rest, we felt like the foreigners they give the leftover lunch to while probably giving the fresh dinner plates to the Italian customers. Our appetizer came out so quickly that it was obviously pre-cut. The meat tasted old. The leaves of the salad were wilted and my gnocchi tasted faintly of bbq sauce or oldish meat... pretty disappointing. Angezogen von den guten Bewertungen und mangels Alternativen ( Diamante ist im November relativ ausgestorben) besuchten wir heute das Casa Mia, wir waren um 20 Uhr dort. Ambiente: Ganz hübsche Einrichtung, könnte gut sein, ist es aber nicht. Wir saßen am Eingang in der Nähe des laufenden Fernsehers, in der der Chef und sein junger Kollege relativ laut die Nachrichten schauten, was uns als Gäste störte. Unserer Bitte, den Fernseher doch auszuschalten wurde für ca. 20 min stattgegeben, in dem zumindest der Ton ausgeschaltet würde. Es war dann still im Lokal, keine Hintergrundmusik, nur die laute Lüftung aus der Küche, was auch nicht der Bringer war. Dann kam aber so eine Art " Wetten das", was die beiden brennend interessierte und es wurde wieder lauter.

Essen: Die Speisekarte gab es nur auf Italienisch, Bedienung konnte kein Englisch, Google Übersetzer klappte nicht - kein Netz. Bestellung war also Glücksache für uns, aber wir sind ja durchaus experimentierfreudig. Wir haben Gnocchi, Ravioli und Baccalau und Salat bestellt, das war OK, nicht top, eher "befriedigend". Wein war OK. Negativ: das Brot war nicht frisch und Olivenöl für den Salat und Pasta gab es nur in billigen Portionstütchen. Geht gar nicht. Auf Nachfrage immerhin eine Pfeffermühle.

Preis für das Gebotene zu hoch. Wir waren etwas über 1 Std. dort, für länger war es uns zu ungemütlich. Schade, ein paar Kleinigkeiten, wie z.B. gutes und frisches Brot, vernünftiges Olivenöl, nette Hintergrund Musik, und den plärrenden Fernseher ausschalten und der Eindruck ist direkt viel besser.

Vielleicht ist es in der Hauptsaison besser, im November aus meiner Sicht eher...
