We visited the restaurant this evening and, unfortunately, had a very disappointing experience — not because of the food (which was okay, nothing special), but because of the poor and unequal service.
Although we may have been slightly underdressed (we wore sweatshirt), this should never justify the kind of treatment we received. The restaurant isn’t a high-end or formal place, yet we were made to feel unwelcome from the beginning. While other tables were treated with courtesy and attention, we were largely ignored.
We ordered a full meal — starter, first course, dessert, and a bottle of wine — and were polite and respectful throughout. Still, the service was cold and dismissive. The main waiter who served us (a shorter man with glasses who seemed to be the head of the waitstaff) didn’t even say “Buon appetito” when bringing the food. When he served the wine, he did let us try it, but in a cold, indifferent manner simply said, “If you want, you can put it in that bucket with ice.” We noticed that the same waiter served another table nearby (a couple with a child, all more formally dressed) in a completely different way: after offering them a taste, he personally placed their bottle in the ice bucket with care.
When we asked for the bill, it was brought by the younger waiter (slightly taller, also with glasses, and likely not from Sardinia), who simply dropped it on the table without a word — no “Grazie,” no eye contact, no acknowledgment at all.
It’s disappointing to feel like we were treated differently based on how we were dressed. Hospitality should be about making every guest feel welcome, and unfortunately, this was not the case tonight. We will not be returning, and we would not recommend this restaurant based on...
Read moreWe went there because one of the owners had really recommended it and he is a super nice guy. It had taken us a while to get a reservation given it is so full all the time. We figured it’s gotta be for a reason!
The food we had was really good. We had the seafood tower to share (€60) and then my party had Sardinian pasta (€14 pp) while I had a Margherita pizza. The seafood tower had all raw seafood and it was delicious! Oysters, mussels, clams, shrimp, prawns and some fish. My party enjoyed the pasta and I really liked the pizza.
We had gone with our dog and they were very welcoming!
Having said that: 1- The place was so hot and there were no fans even to move the air a bit! 2- I asked twice for them to bring a bit of water for my dog and “Sì, certo” meant “We will not bring him water ever…”. I gave him a little bit of crushed ice from the wine bucket with my own hand. 3- They never came to check on us, so every time we would finish the mineral water, I had to stand up myself, go to the cash register and grab a new bottle. We waited 30 minutes with an empty bottle before doing that. I asked two different waitresses for it, and they both said “please ask your server” and left. 4- To pay it was painful and chaotic. We waited 30 minutes asking for the bill. And finally we just stood up and went to the register where we waited another 20 minutes in line to just pay the bill! So yeah, we got there at 21…. We left by midnight with all the...
Read moreBooked a table, arrived on time, waited half an hour... expected this.
Got seated, had the waiter come to our table twice to ask for our orders and twice I'd told him we still haven't received our menus... he looked fed up and was in no rush to get our menus. We were seated for half an hour with no menu just staring at each other... When the food finally came and went, he came by our table and waited for us to say something which was odd... in the end i had to be the one to ask 'can we have dessert please?' to which he scrunched his face and said 'what do you want?' to which i politely asked if we could see the menu. He huffed and walked away. After that, another server took our order, cleaned our plates and brought us the bill... not sure what the other guy's problem was.
food is OK. Nothing to write home about, i could make the seafood spaghetti at home, its all literally just cooked with, parsely, garlic, salt and olive oil.
If you want to come here and make it worth while, get the special fish/lobster/raw fish dishes, everything else are things you can make at home and overpriced. I wish i tried the seafood Fregola but only 2 people minimum could get that.
Atmosphere is nice, service extremely poor, we felt unwelcome making it, i'm sorry to say,...
