Maxi's Restaurant — Restaurant in Duino Aurisina / Devin - Nabrežina

This restaurant take a bit of a commitment to reach if you're not staying at the local resort or a resident. But the location is spectacular with views of the marina and the Adriatic, and sits above the pool and beach.

The service was friendly and attentive, and because we were one of the first to be seated for lunch we had a great table on the terrace where we could enjoy the views and weather.

We didn't want anything to heavy so my GF ordered the Maxi's salad and I opted to go full USA and ordered the hamburger, fries, and a coke. The salad was the better choice and was an amazing mix of avocado, tomatoes, and other items. See the picture. The burger was decent and the fries were absolutely delicious.

Overall we paid about 52 EU for the meal but this is a first class restaurant in a first class location. Would definitely return...

We treated horrible by the whole place every other table was given Prosecco to start not our table we didn’t even get salt and pepper on the table meanwhile every other table did so we order dinner and the mussels were good but the service was terrible took us to ask for them to remove the empty shells the spaghetti and clams came 4 clams in my whole plate as well for my wife no flavor under seasoned and once again poor service very disappointed never again don’t waste your time here plenty of BETTER places in...

Would tentatively agree with the reviews below. The food is overpriced for what you get and the wine here isn't all that good. You're much better of visiting Trieste or hop across the border to Slovenia for better food and wine. The service however was friendly, unrushed and not all that bad as the reviews would suggest. If you're staying in Porto Piccolo and you don't want to drive here this could be a good visit. Would steer away from the more pricier option and stick with...
