Oro di Napoli lives up to its name—this place is a true gem for lovers of authentic Italian food. From the first bite, you can tell they take their craft seriously.

The pizza is outstanding: perfectly blistered crust from the wood-fired oven, thin in the center, airy on the edges, with just the right balance of chew and crisp. The tomato sauce tastes fresh and bright, the mozzarella is creamy, and the toppings are generous but never overdone. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients.

The pasta is just as impressive. Al dente perfection, served in rich, flavorful sauces that cling to every strand or shape. Whether it’s a classic like carbonara or something seasonal and special, it’s clear the kitchen knows what it’s doing.

The setting is warm and welcoming, with a cozy atmosphere that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a little corner of Naples.

I really enjoyed the food here — we shared the mixed fried fish, which was really good and the tartare sauce was particularly nice, especially compared to a lot of other places around, whose sauce still tastes too much like mayonnaise.

As a main I took the ‘Nduja pizza, which was really nice. Actually better tasting Neapolitan pizza than most of the pizza I have eaten in Naples. And burrata in the middle of a pizza is always a win, right?

The staff were super friendly, nice and helpful. They seem to know their way around the entire menu and can easily recommend things or let you know what’s available that day if it’s a dish that changes.

And while the restaurant is not by the water, we found the location to be really cute.

The only thing I would say that isn’t exactly a negative thing, but just a bit odd, was that there was a lot of old James Blunt and Robbie Williams songs playing? That can make it feel a bit like the final hour of the reception for someone’s...

They poured my drink back from a broken glass — unacceptable! I ordered a Sprite and poured it into the glass they gave me, only to find the glass had a crack. I asked for a replacement, and while they gave me a new glass, they didn’t replace my drink. When I asked, “What about my Sprite?”, the server simply took the cracked glass, poured the same Sprite back into the new glass, and handed it to me. This is unhygienic and shows zero respect for customers.

On top of that, we sat there for over an hour after ordering, and not a single dish was served. No one checked on us, even after we asked 2–3 different servers about our food. They kept saying, “We’ll check,” but nothing ever happened. Truly one of the worst dining...
