We stayed at Il Sentiero for three nights. It was a memorable stay, but I probably wouldn't go back.||||Its only accessible by car/taxi. The road to the hotel is memorable in itself. Don't be alarmed by the poor road; you are going the correct way. No big deal.||The staff at the hotel were very friendly, especially the restaurant staff. The view is incredible. The first night we ate at the restaurant overlooking Naples with lights in the trees around us. It was magical and the food was very good.||The facility is actually an event center, a restaurant, and a hotel. That is also the pecking order. The following two nights we were unable to eat at the restaurant or have a table outside because of events going on. The second night was an anniversary party and the following night a large wedding. We asked if we could get a table for dinner and they told us none were available. We ate in our room.||||Things to note:||||There is nothing in walking distance||This is an event center first and foremost||The road to the facility is poor||The restaurant and food were excellent||Breakfast was nothing more than a glass of juice and an espresso||The beds weren't very comfortable||||I'd recommend calling ahead and visiting for a great dinner with views, but don't stay if there is a large event going on. ||||This was part of a 17 night, 1700 mile road trip through Rome, Florence, Verona, Venice, Rimini, Naples and more. Read moreJust like the rest of the Neapolitans the staff and owners of the II Sentiero were friendly and helpful. Best view of the Bay of Naples you could wish for. Great value. The evening meals were superb and comparatively cheap. Wine good. Service first class. Bear in mind though:||There is nothing in walking distance if you want to go anywhere then you need to get a taxi. Use the one recommended by the hotel (Antonio)|This place is primarily event centre - of the Neapolitan wealthy I'd suggest. |The restaurant and food were excellent|Breakfast is not of the healthy kind (lots of sweet stuff), but ok|The beds are hard|Get the front rooms for a sweeping view of the Bay of Naples|Other small stuff like the fridge didn't work properly and the shower was in need of repair.||Anyhow, ignore the trivial stuff and drink the views and wine and eat...
