Ristorante Terrazza Quattroventi — Restaurant in Ercolano

The three of us chose this restaurant due to its convenient location to our hotel. What a mistake that turned out to be! This was probably the worst meal we've had in a restaurant in a long time, and certainly the worst out of many restaurants we visited in the Naples/Ercolano region. The so-called baby squid dish was nothing more than deep fried, excessively salty leftovers, definitely not baby squid. It resembled inedible scraps, the kind you'd normally discard. We couldn't eat it; it tasted like deep fried breadcrumbs loaded with salt. The pumpkin filled ravioli dish was equally disappointing, consisting of just one ravioli topped with scampi. Setting aside the absurdly high price and tiny portion size, the combination of pumpkin ravioli with the salty, seawater taste and smell of the scampi was unpleasant. The BBQ ribs were another letdown: four small, sad looking pieces that were dry and mostly fat, with very little meat. Ironically, the only edible item was the side dish of potatoes, which cost €6 at least it wasn't as awful as everything else. All of this amounted to €120, without drinks. I'm unsure if we visited on an exceptionally bad day or if this is the standard for this restaurant, but our experience was just unacceptable. Place is nice, food is great but unfortunately service is the worst I had in a long time. If you are a foreigner don't bother going there. Out of 4 waiters I would say 1 was okay. Instead of greetings we heard "no English". Then we had many issues with waiters when basic questions were asked, no interest in customers whatsoever. Whenever i needed anything I felt like I was bothering them. After a while it seemed like they were literally ignoring us. Never heard question about my food, if everything is okay if I would like anything else. Last hour of my visit nobody bothered to even come to my table, had to wait for 20 minutes until somebody came around (of course not directly to our table, had to stop him when he was going by), waiter barely looked at me and seemed annoyed even thou restaurant was empty. Esperienza culinaria decisamente positiva, ottima la qualità delle materie prime, buonissime tutte le portate che abbiamo assaggiato. La location è molto bella, direttamente sul mare. Servizio impeccabile durante la cena, ma a fine cena mi arriva lo scontrino 149€ scontato 145€, chiedo di pagare con il pos, arriva il cameriere e fa una transazione da 150€, confronto i due scontrini e glielo faccio notare, mi risponde dicendo che l' importo giusto da pagare era 150€ e che il programma da loro utilizzato ha sbagliato l emissione dello scontrino. Il problema non è per il 5€ che avrei comunque lasciato di mancia, e nemmeno l errore perché sbagliare è umano, ma il fatto che dopo aver fatto notare l errore il cameriere ha iniziato ad arrampicarsi sugli specchi quando sarebbe un "c è stato un errore".
