I had the opportunity to dine at this restaurant in Nesso on a Wednesday night when it was the only option open, and my experience left much to be desired. The initial positive note was their prompt response when I called for a reservation. Upon arrival, the staff appeared friendly and welcoming.
Unfortunately, my optimism waned as the 'set' menu unfolded. The first course consisted of cold meat, which was passable, as were the pickled vegetables. However, the second dish was a perplexing amalgamation of unidentifiable mush and some ham-like substance.
At this point, I kindly requested they refrain from bringing out the next meat dish, as I feared I wouldn't be able to stomach it. The desserts, regrettably, were far from fresh.
Normally, I wouldn't feel compelled to write a review, preferring to let it pass. However, the shockingly high bill of 65 euros at the end left me deeply disappointed. I mentioned I didnt have one of the main dishes on their menu so it shouldn’t be that price, they said they took 5 euro off!!!!

Read moreThis place was absolutely delicious. Me and my husband came here late at night and the ladies who run the place are so awesome. This is a great place to come if your looking to be happy what they are serving and try new food items. It felt like I was dining at my families home and had such a comforting atmosphere. The family cats and locals made us feel right at home. We loved the food but the ladies running the place were incredible. We even lost our pack of cigarettes and she was nice enough to give us her pack. We loved this place and ignore the reviews. This is a must visit..Best restaurant in the area. 4 generations of family have run this restaurant!!!! Cheers from Atlanta, GA USA ...we...
Read moreTucked away in a corner of the piazza by the church, this little family restaurant was a truly delightful find. With an open fireplace and rustic furnishings, it's almost like a hunter's lodge in town. There's no menu, the warm and charming family will cook almost anything for you but the "set" five course offering is definitely the highlight. Antipasto of cured meats and pickled vegetables, then polenta with boiled salami, then the famous pizzocheri, then a whole lamb shank, then dessert with coffee and grappa. All that plus a bottle of wine for €30 per person. It was so good, we went twice!...
