I was very disappointed. This place has great potential but needs different direction. For example I had called to book a reservation and was told they had no space when i requested. I called back to say I had been cut off and wanted an early reservation, 6/ 6:30. This lady said there was no problem. On the day we arrived i was surprised to see there were only 2 other tables occupied. The server came to our table to offer drinks and provide menus. I told him none of us had been here b4 and could he explain to us how this 4 sample for 8 euro worked. He said it was 8€ per sample. I found that expensive 4 little glasses for 32€ and did not seem to correspond to what i understood from the menu. He hastily left to let us decide beverages and i called over another server who properly explained the 4 samples for 8€. He took our beverage order. The first server returned and took our order. Some one came to the table bringing us someone else's order. Regarding our first server,we never saw him again. He never returned to inquire if we had any problems (we needed a clean fork since one had fallen to the floor) so we had to access the service area on our own. After we had completed our meals someone removed some of the plates, we cleared off the rest to the serving station. After waiting half an hour we called over a young lady to ask about giving a coffee/dessert order. Her name is Stefania and she had someone serve us immediately. She came several times making sure we were content. Of all the staff we encountered she was the most hospitable. Even the lady at the casa for payment was rude. The menu was limited in that it was all grilled with a smokey flavour but good for a young crowd with foods they enjoy. The tables are a bit small so we felt over crowded. Children were permitted to run around the tables as if they were in a playground. The whole evening the place was never more than half full so i was unhappy i had been first told the place was fully booked. Service staff, except for Stefania need to be taught customer relations. U have to know that a "beer house" near an American military base of any kind, a lot of customers will speak English only. Staff need to know how to "sell" their products. Parking is good and it is wheelchair accessible. For good weather there is an outdoor patio. The one star rating i gave is...

I hate leaving negative reviews, but it needs to be said as my wifes life was in danger.
We finally decided to check this place out after seeing a banner on base. We went with decent expectations. We made the order after expressly stating we have an allergy for 2 people at the table. Our waiter spoke decent english and were told 2 times that the dish did not contain the allergy. We were then served in a decent manner.
My wife took her first bite and immidiately knew the allergen was in the meal. We asked again and another waiter showed up and took the meal to the chef which confirmed it did indeed have the allergen. My wife broke out in hives and started to swell. Luckily we keep an epipen for this RARE occurence, in fact so rare this has been the first time we needed it in 2.5 years being here in Italy. The same waiter then said the meal was free and pointed to all our meals. Not once but 2 times again.
The only reason why i am rating the other food is thats what an honest patron does. My father in laws burger was delicious, the chicken my mother in law recieved was juicy.
My ribeye steak was "ok". Ill explain; i asked for a medium, i got a PERFECT medium but the membrane was intact still on it, the fat for some reason was not rendered, and they do cook it on wood fire but the cargrilled flavor was over powering as if it was cold smoked. as if the wood has not been burning for anytime at all or it was "smoked" via another method. It was also cooked without seasoning. A first for me in italy other than Il Carantan. As you know adding salt or pepper after the cook is not the same.
The beer was.... ok to decent. There was mainly IPA on tap but like i said, it was just ok. Nothing to write home about.
Now comes to the zinger. The bill.... you pay at the table via an app, i checked it and sure enough the whole bill was standing. On top of that the coperto, service charge was set for 10 people, we had 6. We then asked why and they removed it and we then mentioned the meals were "free". Thats when the good ole english didnt work. So we had to break out the google translate. In the end we paid for what was eaten.
10/10 would not recommend and we will keep trying more...
