Please note this is my first review- the behavior was so egregious, I decided to write a review.
My family and I went to this restaurant and were really looking forward to eating at what seemed like a great Italian restaurant.
Great decor, seemingly friendly- we were watching great service occur as we were being seated.
We ordered and received our appetizer right away. Then things went south. The waiter was very preoccupied with the table in front of us.
We had to ask the waiter 3 times in a 30 minute period for my son’s soda and then waited 15 more minutes to get it.
Come to realize, it was the waiter’s family’s restaurant.
As soon as the family left, so did the waiters pretend friendliness and ok service.
We ordered white wine to come with our seafood dinners when we ordered dinner.
After 15 minutes after ordering, the waiter told us they were out of grilled vegetables and tuna. We re-ordered and we asked to have our wine then.
(Ok, no problem, we get it, things aren’t always available.) After a bit, our food came. Our wine did not.
The waiter however, was getting the table next to us everything they needed correctly on first order, very promptly (they were Italian). (They came in a half our after us).
After we waited at least another 15 minutes to eat our dinner, trying to find someone to get our wine, (literally 5 patrons in the restaurant including our selves) we gave up and ate our cold food.
When we were done eating, about 10 minutes later , my husband could see him standing in the next room at the bar like area- and he asked him for our wine.
A few minutes later, the waiter unapologetically brought champagne, not a white wine we’d asked for.
He disappeared again, after another 15 minutes, after we were done, my husband and son went to look for at the waiter. (I am all for long dinners- lived in Over seas- love long dinners, however this was just out right rude).
My husband and son found him watching tv.
The waiter apologized before we even complained because he apparently knew he did not provide good service.
So he gave us a whole $1.50 Euro discount.
I would not go back to this place unless I was Italian.
It made me upset because this is my sons first trip to Italy and we’d hoped he wouldn’t experience such rude behavior. I love Italy- wish this...
Read moreMy family and I tried to eat here tonight and after asking if they had a table available for 5 (the place was empty) they looked around and asked if we had reservations. We clearly did not. They responded “sorry we are full” and then laughed at us while walking out. This place has HORRIBLE service and anybody visiting from out of town should avoid this restaurant. Go across the street where the service and friendliness is...
Read moreNon so neanche da dove cominciare. Siamo...
