Splendid experience. Clearly a 5-star spot; this is why I’m struggling to understand the current overall relatively low rating of 3.6 and doubting the authenticity of some reviews on Google. We walked into this restaurant on vacation as we were strolling through the streets of Follonica and we enjoyed the experience so much that we decided to come back the next day. The thing is that before deciding to enter the restaurant, I read the online Google reviews and had to scratch my head, as what I was seeing from outside (beautiful pizzas, crowded place with a lot of happy client faces, and a very busy and considerate staff) didn’t match what I was reading…. Long story short, we decided to take our chances…. And we certainly didn’t regret our choice (!). Indeed, and talking about authenticity, this place offers authentic Italian and great quality food, full of wonderful flavours, with tasty wood-fired pizzas, original savoury starters, outstanding top-grade ingredients, a pretty decent Italian wine list (all reasonably priced), and, to top it off, a very considerate and responsive staff (and we went there during the busiest season of the year - mid-August - in a fully-packed restaurant). I forgot to mention that my daughter wanted some spaghetti with bolognese sauce which wasn’t on the menu; so we asked the waiter if they could prepare some for her… and they did (!). We really appreciated their flexibility and considerate customer focus. To conclude: I highly recommend this place (and doubt the genuineness and credibility of some poor reviews here). Fantastic Italian restaurant!

Reading the reviews will get you nowhere, this place is so good, the food was delicious, the staff were friendly, we originally sat inside but asked if it's okay to sit outside, they immediately said yes and showed us outside, the music was nice and chill, we were able to have a conversation without being loud. The food is seriously so good, the wait time is standard when it's busy, but what else do you expect? It's not fast food. 10/10 we loved it!

We were in a bit of a hurry, because the last train to Rome was leaving in 1 hour, so we ordered 2 pizzas (margherita and marinara) and 2 side dishes, all to be brought to the table at the same time.

Unfortunately they were 2 pieces of meat (some kind of light, ground meat and some kind of ham) on my pizza; I picked them off, because we had barely any time left, and hoped there weren't more pieces that I missed... I'm a strict vegetarian and my mother (the other person) is a strict vegan, and as the restaurant offers a vegan menu option, we figured that this restaurant would be a good choice...

I informed the staff, who asked me if I wanted a new pizza (I already finished mine) and I said no, so the waiter very arrogantly and rude said "yeah, I'm sorry" and left... Unacceptable in my eyes!

I still had to pay the full price for the pizza and even the full service charge of 1,50€ per person. Also we ordered the 3€ for a 0,25l red house wine and were charged 4€, which might seem like a small thing, but is just the cherry on top...

The staff was nice at first, but as soon as we sat and ordered they became very short with us, as soon as I complained they pretty much wrote us off completely...

I know I should have stopped eating the pizza immediately and informed the staff, but because of the time issue and the fact that the pizza should not be that badly cross contaminated with anything, I tried to take it not that badly and to write it off as a huge error on the kitchens side. But after the staff reacted so poorly, I feel obligated to warn everyone of this restaurant!

(English is not my mother language, so please forgive...
