Ristorante Cinese Oriente — Restaurant in Follonica

I never would've thought I'd find an authentic Chinese restaurant in some random city of Italy. After traveling in Europe for a week I was feeling homesick for Chinese cooking and I was drawn in by the red lanterns hanging outside. I had no expectations but the food was fantastic! I got the prawns with bamboo and mushroom with a side of rice, and a corn and chicken egg drop soup. It was so good I wish I had time to stay and order more food. Portions were single serving size and reasonable for the price. Also, the decor was very elegant yet comforting, just seeing the goldfish tank gave me higher hopes for the food. And the location is fantastic, right across from the beach where you can enjoy the sunset. If I ever return to Follonica I would definitely come...

Mi dispiace molto per le due stelle ma purtroppo meritate tutte. Sono appena rientrata a casa dopo una breve e veloce cena dato che stasera mi ero riproposta di mangiare cinese. L'ambiente trovato non è granché, ma su questo non mi soffermo più di tanto, anche perché non ero interessata ad un locale ultra moderno alla moda. Appena entrata mi sono accomodata ad un tavolo nemmeno assegnato ma scelto da me stessa, e su questo vi ringrazio. Una volta seduta, come ovvio che sia, mi sono liberata dal vestiario invernale, nel mio caso un bel giubbotto di pelle imbottito e bello caldo giusto per la stagione. Arrivata un'aria veramente gelida, l'ambiente non è affatto riscaldato, un freddo spaventoso, che nonostante la buona cucina offerta non ha assolutamente assopito o fatto dimenticare il gelido presente.
